YAY for everyone!!

i feel your 'pain' about the new job messing with stuff you'd rather be doing, Jen. i'm going to miss Sayreville, it looks like, because i gots a new job, too. (If it were four hours away, i'd totally do it though - 18-20 hours and try to be back for work won't happen.)

BUT i AM taking off tomorrow night when i get off work and driving down to New Orleans, grabbing a shower and a nap then heading out to Charenton for Saturday night! Wheeeeeeee!
i'll just have to pretend it's my birthday trip, since for the first time in my LIFE i'll be at WORK on my actual birthday.

Congratulations Heather!!! I'll be waiting to hear about the big announcement!!! happy.gif

So, after seeing Brett with the remaining members of the Doors, I have to say that he was absolutely amazing!! He sounded super close to Jim Morrison singing all those Doors songs. It was hard to believe, but it was true. His talent shined more on that stage than I've ever seen it shine before. Simply amazing!!

Tonight, after seeing the new Fuel with their new members, I have to say that the drummer kicked ass and the new singer sounded really good. Kind of like Brett the only difference was his stage presence. He wasn't that good with audience participation like Brett was. I guess I just missed Brett singing those songs. It was great to hear them all again. They only played one new song and all the rest were older songs. I got to hear Jesus or a Gun and it was pretty impressive. It was a fun night. smile.gif

Oooh Tina, thats awesome!! I'm so happy for Brett!! Are they putting out new music too?

I'll give Newfuel a chance. I was just thinking the other day that it will probably be easier for me to like the new songs with a new voice than to see and hear the old ones. But i wont know til i give him a chance.

The newer song was easier to hear and sounded 100% like a Fuel song...no matter who was singing it. Carl's keeping it real I guess. lol.gif

I don't think there is any new songs from Riders on the Storm. It was nice hearing Brett sing Break on Through...well, all of them were amazing actually. It would be cool to hear something new though. smile.gif

i saw a pretty damn good drummer Saturday night and that kicked major ass.

Dragging Jimmy all over the French Quarter and force feeding him Jager kicks ass, too.

Early birthday spankings REALLY kick ass!

(errr i should clarify, no drummer and no Jimmy was involved in the third thing up there)

Speaking of ex Fuel members Tantric has apparently broken up or rather Hugo is the only original remaining member and Kevin Miller is now the official new drummer. The whole thing is just weird but they have new songs up on myspace that were written by Todd and Hugo, only Todd is no longer in the band and Tantric will be touring with all new members except for Hugo. eh.gif

In other news this baby is STILL inside of me! angry.gif

I'm bummed that Todd is out of the band too, he really has such a distinct way of playing that I doubt anyone that they replace him with could match. Apparently they have someone but I've never heard of him, I hope he's good. I love Hugo and everything but it's rough when the whole rest of the band is gone. Even the website is gone. I wonder why Hugo kept the name Tantric?
