Oh I stand corrected, there was a tiny thing in the York Daily Record today with the details of the show.

QUOTE(SJN1279 @ Mar 16 2007, 6:47 pm) *

How are the sightlines of the place and are there any hotels in walking distance?

there's a hotel within walking distance that is a few blocks away. their website is www.hotelbrunswick.com and it says it is currently closed for renovations but will repopen on April 1st, so maybe you would be able to book a room there. there aren't any other hotels in the downtown area that i can think of, other than a new one (http://lancasterartshotel-px.trvlclick.com/) that is a very short drive and i guess could be within walking distance too. also, like Janice mentioned, there are a ton of places along Route 30 near the outlets but you couldn't walk to the club if you're staying there.

as far as sightlines, i think the Chameleon is a pretty good place to see a show, as long as you don't get stuck behind any tall people. you don't have to worry about any columns throughout the club that would block your view. they also have a balcony level, but that always gets really crowded so your best bet would be the first floor if you want to see anything, unless you get there really early and get a spot along the railing on the balcony level.

But just make sure you don't get stuck behind the soundboard area back by the bar. You won't be able to hear the band at all, the sound is horrible back there. The only thing you will hear is people talking and the bartenders throwing bottles in the trash. Get there early and get a good spot on the balcony level or get up front on the floor otherwise you're screwed.

I think because they are already playing Starland and Harrisburg. I'm mulling the show over too, but I think it will sell out shortly.

Allentown not Harrisburg. I wasn't thinking.

I just keep thinking about when we saw Adam at there, it was an awesome setup. No barriers (will they use them for larger bands?) I told Tina i need to be up front cause if I can get that close, well I'll be a happy girl.

In my experience they do use a barrier for the larger bands. I'm assuming Live will have one but if they do it is a VERY small barrier so you will still be really close to the stage.

Tee hee! I'm so giddy with joy, I want to pee! WAIT! I mean scream. Right. Scream. My tickets are secured.

Just a very tangential point of curiosity: Route 30 stretches across the U.S. and intersects with my hometown in Illinois. Tee hee! Weeee!

The show looks to be sold out. There are no tickets left on ticketmaster. For those lucky enough to grab tickets, have a blast!
