Haha, no not any negative press over here. In Sweden things like this isn't a big deal.
And Kent is a favorite band amongst both ordinary people and the critics. So they can't go wrong.

I really don't see any disturbing things in the video myself, but then I'm swedish smile.gif

these are all by the same Israeli band called Hayehudim ("the jews" in hebrew). these are my most favourite:

Im Kvar - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqMvVC3SXOM...related&search=

Baavir (in the air) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngR_zn9NlBM...related&search=

Lipol (to fall) - this one's taken from their unplugged show. this version is much better than the regular one in my opinion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2Pk9bTiNMI

Od aron ehad (one more coffin) - orit (the girl) screms there a bit too much, but it's still a good version - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-1mtRiT9Qc...related&search=

Hayamim Shelanu (our days) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhnmiNcJDVo...related&search=

the last song is considered to be THE song played by them. it's called Mehapes Teshuva (looking for an answer) and i found 2 versions: the first one is the regular version, which is think is much better (though the video sucks), and the second is the unplugged version, which in my opinion, looses a bit of the power and the intensity of the regular version:
regular - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlchZ5cqloE...related&search=

unplugged - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9X7fCQmJ24...related&search=

What's your favourite Katatonia album?

Hm, since I only have their latest; I must say I like The great cold distance the best smile.gif
What other album/albums would you recommend?

Sixteen Horsepower/Woven Hand. I normally despise anything remotely Country with a passion, but this is like Johnny Cash meets Nick Cave. It's dark, heavy, depressing and nothing like Achy fucking Breaky Billy Ray bastard Cyrus.

Best Joy Division cover you will ever hear, especially by an alt Country band
Heart And Soul

Praying Arm Lane

Splinters

And some Woven Hand
Wooden Brother

Truly Golden

And if you don't like it, you'll all burn in hell.

those are not original videos from the above bands though, since they hardly make videos..

Though ultimately, it could indeed be classified as a sub-genre, post-metal music has a distinct structure of its own, which makes it in effect, different from metal (unlike other sub-genres which are only distinctive in sound, and not in structure).

Otherwise, if we'd like to simplify things down to the barest, we might as well have two classifications, classical and popular, or something like that.

You owe it to yourself then to explore more of Katatonia. cool.gif
Their work has progressed a lot throughout these years, with each passing album.

You can try out Brave Murder Day (which even features Opeth's frontman), or Discouraged Ones for starters.

You do know there are only two real genres in music, don't you?

The cool stuff and the stuff that sucks.
