I'd love to make as many shows as possible this year, but with the limited finances and kids it gets harder each year. My wife (Taylor’s Love Slave) is a +LIVE+ newbie and is always psyched to go so hopefully we can swing it to hit at least 2 or 3 shows this year as opposed to the one in Reading, PA we did last year.

Is it worth getting that parking pass for an extra $15? I went to get my tickets today and noticed that it was available. Once I find out if it's worth getting, I'll order the tickets.

No it isn't. I paid for the star parking once and got in AFTER some of the people who didn't buy it. When we asked the door man if we would get in before all of the people in the second line because we had the VIP parking pass he said "what the fuck are you talking about?!" The only benefit to getting that pass is that you get to park in the first row of the parking lot. The parking lot isn't that big so it really isn't worth the money.

Got this from Starland Ballroom today:

• Sellout alerts: Don't wait on Buckcherry, John Legend, Third Eye Blind or Live tickets!

Very cool news about LIVE, but don't people know that Third Eye Blind is horrendous in concert! The guy can't sign a note!

I'm just looking for some info on Starland, since their website is weak in that department. From what I read here by flipping through this thread, it looks like it probably holds say 2,000-3,000? I assume it has a bar? Any opinions on the sound or sight lines? Thanks for any input. I'm trying to round up some of my friends from the Philly area to make the trip, and I'd like some specifics to throw their way. I'm guessing (hopefully wrong) this will be a kind of dormant year for Live in terms of touring, so I want to catch this show. And back to the dormant year thing............let's hope these guys set their minds on making a long overdue great record. I wouldn't care if they played a show all year if they concentrated on this. Charlie

The venue is decent and the sound is pretty good. It has a wide stage and wide standing area with one bar on each side (there are at least 2 bars, maybe three). NJ roads are dumb so getting there is weird. Parking at the venue SUCKS and getting out of the place on a one-lane street after a show SUCKS but the show will be amazing.

getting there does suck...and when it is over there are about 50 cops just waiting for you to speed thru their town...so watch drinking and driving....designated driver....
