Since it seems clear that LIVE will be making up tour dates from what was to be their fall US tour, I'd figure this thread could help us to speculate what states, cities, venues the band may be playing this year.

My semi-educated guess would be that LIVE will be announcing tour dates for 2007 in the following states: (New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Georgia, California, and Ohio). Now I could be totally wrong, but those areas seem the most likely for make-up dates. And from what I heard this tour should continue throughout the summer.

Should be an exciting time, if anyone has any other areas you think they could play, please post them here!

I wonder why they have never played the Troc in Philly? It seems like the perfect size for them. Maybe they will just stick with the Electric Factory. And when was the last time they palyed the 9:30 Club in DC? It seems like it would be a logical choice.

Why would they play the troc, when they can easily sell out the electric factory. I would rather play a sold out 3,000 capacity venue then a sold out 800 capacity.

Sorry I didn't realize they had sold out the Electric Factory last time.

It just seems to me that they have been booking smaller venues lately and perhaps the Troc would be a good choice.

Just because they sold out the Electric Factory once doesn't mean they can do it all the time. If Live were to play Philly again, I could see them playing a smaller venue especially since their is no longer any label backing at all.

It doesnt matter if they have label backing or not. Many of their last shows in 2006 were without label backing and mostly sold out. The HOB in AC holds just as many people as the factory and that was done without label backing. A label backing a band has nothing to do with the size of the venue they play or how many people will come to the show. A band who has a made a name for themselves and who have a solid fan base can sell out the factory without the label.

^ This is true.

Dir en grey, who are virtually unknown here in the States, sold out the Nokia Theatre in NYC without label backing, and sold out the Wiltern in LA last year.

The last HOB Show was NOT sold out. I talked to several people about that.

As to the factory, I love that venue and it's great for show's live can play there anytime. This past year was the first time I can remeber them ever playing there, they used to play the tower when they came to philly, but I believe that's a fully seated venue now.

Now a show at the TLA like the good old days would rock. We could rock out with the boys on south street.

HOB Orlando was sold out though! smile.gif

I think the HOB in AC didn't sell because Live overtoured the area last year. The law of diminishing returns was in full play.

I hope you're right Nick. I've been waiting for them to play OH for awhile. Didn't they go to Cleveland last year? I can't remember.. being pregnant then, everything was fuzzy.

I'd love to travel for a show, but I can't miss any school so that limits me to shows on the weekend within a 5 hour drive or so.

How far are you from Chicago and Michigan? What do you go to school for? I say miss school, but that's just me smile.gif

Yeah, they played back in May. Really good show. I'm sure they'll hit it again eventually, the House of Blues kicks ass.

I'm hoping a Pittsburgh date comes up. Pat sent me a message on MySpace last year and wished me a happy birthday. I thanked him and asked if they had any plans to go there because they hadn't been there since 2003. He told me that they hoped to hit it before the end of the year (2006) and that they hadn't been there because they hadn't had a proper offer from a promoter there, but that they really want to play there. Hopefully it'll happen this year since it didn't last.

A Columbus date would be awesome, too. I've seen Collective Soul, Better Than Ezra and Toad the Wet Sprocket all at PromoWest since 2005, three of my other favorites, so I'd love to see LIVE there, too.

Columbus would be awesome, I agree. Cincy is closer for me.. but the only venue I've heard good things about there is the Levy. Of course, DMB sold that out last year. It would be nice come summer.
