In HOB AC, I was in the balcony and the sound was very good after the first few songs. However I can see how downstairs they could be issues, especially with the low ceilings. Sonar in Baltimore is a certified craphole, so I would blame the venue for a poor sound.

However you are right Heather, if the band is having sound problems at certain shows that should be looked at. Can anyone else comment on the sound at Revolution last night?

I don't want to argue with you but I've been to Sonar twice and the sound was great at both shows. Just seems odd to me that at recent shows people keep saying that the sound is not that great. To me Live was always a band that you could count on for a good sounding show and I'd hate to think that is no longer the case.

Live is still the best sounding band that I've seen. So I wouldn't worry too much. And I don't know how the sound is at Sonar, but the place is a dump.

I was at the FTL show and I thought the sound was good but I did notice that the guys seemed to be having some issues. For instance, Ed kept pointing to his mic like the sound wasn't right. This happened a bunch of times. Honestly though, it sounded good to me.

Lisa who was also at the show said the sound was great. I guess it depends on the person.

And what do you mean by "it was an older crowd"? How old were they?

I thought it was a mixed crowd. I dont know what older is. I am 36 and everyone was my age or younger. I thought Ed sounded very off and I thought the sound was not great. I have seen the Black Crowes there and they sounded awesome. BTW, the Revolution holds arounf 2,000. IIt was crowded-really a great venue for them. This was definetly not the best sounding show. CT killed it as always. And for the ladies that are wondering what Ed looks like. Full beard and a shaved head. He kept taking on and off his skull cap all night. And the shirt finally came off at the very end of White Discussion.

ok - so how old are you, and how long have you been going to see Live? A crowd full of 30-somethings seems right to me. They're the same people who were 18, going to see the MJ shows --- like me.

i'm 23. seeing em since i was 12, that was my 7th show. didn't mean to offend, i guess its all relative

At the Baltimore show the sound was off especially in the beginning. I don't know what he issue was but I remember a few times the guys would yell over at the sound guy or ed would walk over to talk to him. That was also the show that they were flat as can be. Sonar isnt the best place, but its what we need to get used to if we want to continue to see Live..

I consider it to be an older crowd when there are people there around 30 or over. Not an insult (I'm all but there), thats just how I break it down.......
