I have a situation.

I'm from NY, and I'm going to the Ft. Lauderdale show!!
I'll be flying in at 5pm, and going straight to Revolution. Do you think they'll be able to put my luggage (dufflebag) somewhere?

Oftentimes there are lockers in airports (although who knows whether they'll have them inside or outside of security). Best to call the airport, or see if the venue will hold it for you, is my guess.

I live around the corner from Revolution. I'll be there tonight. Never been to the venue, but saw the crew unloading trucks this morning and caught a glimpse of the stage outside. Looks to be a tight, intimate place--probably can't fit more than a couple hundred in there. can't wait for the show. Just a few hours left!!

Rattlesnake
Mystery
All Over You
Mirror song
the river
I walk the line
Iris
Shit Towne
Wings
Sophia
Voodoo Lady
The Dolphins Cry
Heaven

I Alone
Run to the water
Stood up for love
Lakinis Juice
Lightning Crashes
White Discussion

Rattlesnake was ok, mirror song was good, Iris was ok, White Discussion was ok. The rest of the show wasn't traditional rocking live. The guys do whats right for the crowd, and it was an older crowd, i am sure that Ed uses his voice as he can. The rest of the band is still tight and on time.

Thanks for the quick posting of the setlist and the review. I'm trying not to read it because I want to be surprised of the order Wednesday. I'm glad you had a fun time!

wow - TSUFL found it's way to the encore! Sweet! That song always kicks too much ass on stage to be so close to the beginning.
Thanks for the list!

Hey - what part of NY are you in?

And what do you mean by "it was an older crowd"? How old were they?

I went by Revolution around 4pm yesterday and heard the boys do three songs for their sound check.

Mystery
Sofia
The River

Satisfied with the sound, the boys left the venue from the side door and a couple of us who were gathered outside got waves and some hello's.

I enjoyed the show as well, although the set list i wrote out has a little different order. Hopefully someone else can help confirm the order. At the start of the show, Ed mentioned that they were "throwing out the set list".

My favorite song of the night was TSUFL in the encore. I love hearing the full version live, but I never get tired of hearing the piano version that is on the 2000 FOL Holiday Gift CD.

Rattlesnake
All Over You
Mystery
Mirror Song
The River
Sofia
Iris
I Walk the Line
Shit Town
Wings
Voodoo Lady
Dolphin's Cry
Heaven

I Alone
Run To the Water
They Stood Up For Love
Lakini's Juice
Lightning Crashes
White, Discussion

I thought it was a mixed crowd. I dont know what older is. I am 36 and everyone was my age or younger. I thought Ed sounded very off and I thought the sound was not great. I have seen the Black Crowes there and they sounded awesome. BTW, the Revolution holds arounf 2,000. IIt was crowded-really a great venue for them. This was definetly not the best sounding show. CT killed it as always. And for the ladies that are wondering what Ed looks like. Full beard and a shaved head. He kept taking on and off his skull cap all night. And the shirt finally came off at the very end of White Discussion.

I'm starting to think they need a new sound guy.

I know that you felt that at the show you attended in Baltimore the sound was off, but I saw them play 7 times in 2006 and I can't remember a single sound problem save for maybe the first couple of songs at the HOB in Atlantic City. I wouldn't fire anybody just yet.

I just remember quite a few people saying the sound in AC was bad as well as the sound at the show in Baltimore the night before. It just seems odd that people, including myself, have seen other bands in these venues and the sound was fine. Maybe they just need to adjust the sound to fit better in smaller venues. I don't know.

there's Rattlesnake as an opener again.

last year they played it at like 8 prior shows to the one in Chicago so I was really looking forward to hearing it and then they opened with Simple Creed and never even played it. bomb.gif

so maybe I'm setting myself up for another disappointment come March.

In HOB AC, I was in the balcony and the sound was very good after the first few songs. However I can see how downstairs they could be issues, especially with the low ceilings. Sonar in Baltimore is a certified craphole, so I would blame the venue for a poor sound.

However you are right Heather, if the band is having sound problems at certain shows that should be looked at. Can anyone else comment on the sound at Revolution last night?
