He doesnt need to type it again. Just read the boards from the last 2 years. Don't be so lazy. Remember, God helps those who help themselves.

I'm pretty sure his anger differs from yours in that his stems more from the lack of quality/creativity of the music whereas for yours comes from the belief that Ed is not Christian enough. Two very different arguments.

I miss LiveRocks, because I always thought it was funny when people called him LoveCocks. I have a 5th grade sense of humor.

They anger me because I believe they know full well what they're doing. I believe that they're choosing to make terrible music, probably because of some percieved/hoped for benefit in terms of record sales.

Now, I know they sold more records with their old records than they have with their knew ones, but that's irrelevant. I believe that they feel that if they actually create intetersting music that their record sales will be even worse, and they'll all have to go back to their day jobs.

The music they're writing now is consciously mindless. It is an attempt to stay afloat in the constantly deteroriating realm of popular music. Instead of continuing to push themselves as artists, they've decided to simply do just enough to keep their jobs.

Pathetic.

Not to make light of anything you wrote, but whatever Live is doing right now is apparently working, because it's keeping even the most disgruntled individuals around.

Not too many artists stick around for 7 albums, and continue to sell out concerts after 15 years in the music industry. But thankfully Live is still around, and they continue to change with each album. I would hate for them to stay the same, and sound the same with each record. It keeps you guessing; I have no idea what their next album is going to sound like.. I've heard they wanna make a hard rocking album.. this is why I'm still a big fan of this band. It's never the same. I would've never guessed 5 years ago that they'd create a pop album that sounds so natural like SFBM. And I can honestly say it's one of my favorite Live albums. Live still kicks ass in my book.

Its because of something they did 13 years ago called Throwing Copper.

That is the same reason that this band pisses me off. I could just never put it into words as well as you have. SFBM sounds the way that it does because they made it sound that way in order to gain interest from record companies. It seems to me they were more interested in conforming to the standards of major record companies and what they think will sell then in making good, interesting music. It's almost as if they tried to sound like other bands that get Top 40 airplay instead of trying to stand out from those bands like they used to. It makes me ill.

The reason I stick around is because Live was my favorite band for over ten years and I remember the great music that they used to make. For some reason I can't let go because I actually think that someday they might come to their senses and make good music again. It's doubtful at this point but a girl can dream.

Ditto. Despite Live abandoning any pretence of artistic integrity, I stupidly still believe they have it in them to make great music again. I feel like the whole band think Live is their 9 to 5 job rather than their burning passion and they all need a kick up their lazy backsides.
