Nobody's forcing you to take part or even read these polls but you still seem to place your vote anyway.

Instead of bitching and moaning about it why not start your own topic? Or is that beyond you?
If you don't like it go and play in the street and stop annoying us with your pathetic, pointless posts.

Alright. Let me start a topic in which people recite lines from The River and circle-jerk to "la da da da da". Oh wait, that's already been done. What do you suggest I start a topic on? Hey, I have plenty of good ideas for topics actually, but do I go on this site to post all of them within two weeks' time and clog up the front page? No. I don't have a problem with Hoodstock creating SOME topics. However, he has clogged up the front page. I vote in the polls to see the results, which I often disagree with. That doesn't say anything. Playing in the street is always fun, but I've been a little too busy lately. And stop speaking for "us", who the fuck is "us"? You and people who like The River and Home? "Us" is certainly not long-time members of the board, or, for that matter, a majority of posters. And who the fuck cares if it is the majority? If my posts annoy you, you're a little fuckwit. I'm so terribly sorry that I annoy you, maybe I should stop posting. Sorry, not gonna happen. And people like you have time and time again failed to respond to points I make in my posts, and instead post a three word response with an insult. If you and others cannot respond to things I say in a mature, non-thoughtless way, then you don't have a right to call my posts "pointless". End of story.

And I might add, if any of you could keep up with the board and the "Board Questions" forum, you would be able to see that the site and board will not be closing down.

And, I happen to think this is a GREAT way to make a CD.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Now we all have one that we have created together.

By the way, if people want the good discussions to come up from the 2nd and 3rd page they should write in them. The fact that they are on those pages tells me that you are not posting in them!!!

Okay, first you call me a little fuckwit then you have a go at me for responding with an insult, I don't waste these pages with story books like yourself my friend. I've been a fan for probably as long as you have.
So what if people like songs that you don't. You are constantly putting people down and trying to plead your case with claims that you have a point.

Unlike you have in the past, I didn't respond with a three-word post. That's what I said no? Oh nice, the classic "I'm not going to waste my time with you" bullshit. If you're at all going to back up and validate anything you said, this is the most pansy way out of doing it. Maybe that means you can't say anything. I think so.

I don't give a fuck if someone likes a song (although you'd have to be pretty mushy-brained to like Home). However, when someone says the reason they like a song is because it's an anti-war statement, or if they think a song is "good" when objectively they couldn't be more incorrect, I won't be afraid to call them out on their stupidity.

I "claim that I have a point," don't I? Well, how don't I have a point? Maybe if you made some kind of effort in posting instead of dismissing my arguments so easily, I would take you a little more seriously. But for now, you're a weasel.

You little fucker.
So because in your opinion a song is shit it gives you the right to tell people it's not?
You sound as if your one of those classic know-it-all little college fucks who spend most of their time looking for people who enjoy the things that you don't and feel it's up to you to tell them otherwise. Your 17? I've got 10 years on you buddy.
By the way when did I say I wasn't going to waste my time with you ? I love kicking your fat arse!!

I check in here like twice a day more if I'm off work. I like all the polls and topics cause it gives me something new to think about or talk about.

I think Hoodstock does a good job of keeping us entertained and I for one hope he keeps going.
Like said previously if you don't like it no one is forcing you to take part.

There is nothing wrong with a bit of positivity on this board! Where's the LOVE??

Seriously, what do you people want,a board with zero activity? Hoodstock's polls are pretty much the only thing going on in here right now.

When I see the whole front page covered with Hoodstock, it's downright annoying. Some of the threads range from mildly interesting to fucking retarded. The polls are kind of fun when you see other people's opinions on a song. For fucking retarded, I would have to say The River thread. Out of all of Live's songs, you pick The River? wow.gif Since you know that the majority of the people on this board hate The River, the only explantation is that you are trying to piss people off... or you actually believe The River matches in quality of any song from their first four albums. In that case, you're fucking retarded. This wouldn't surprise me since you think Where Fishes Go is bad. Also, you clogged up the front page with other retarded threads. For example, something like "stop complaining whiny Live fans". That's ironic that you are complaining about complaining fans. In any event, stop creating threads that are pointless.

As I have said, I think Hoodstock has come up with some good polls. But a poll a day is excessive and downright ridiculous. One or maybe even two or three polls a week. That is fine. But one/two a day is just spam.

Bandwidth costs money.

The idea of compiling a CD based on which is the best track number 1, 2, 3 etc.. to find the best Live CD in the opinion of Live fans is pretty shitty. I mean think about it, you might rate each and every track number 5 as better than all the track number 8s, but you're still only gonna get one 5 on there and an 8 on there, in which case you get a track on the album that you wouldn't normally put on there and 5 or so tracks you might normally put on get pushed off the album.

Edstipe had the right idea with people listing their fav live tracks regardless of album in order, then awarding a certain amount of points to everyone's number one choice and decreasing in points as they go down the list. Then seeing which songs end up with how many points, the top however many songs then go onto the album as they are by majority the most popular Live songs as voted by people here .. and it'd take 2 topics that would stay active here at the most.

Think about that Hoodwink!

I agree that there should be a limit to how many polls you can create per week. 1 or 2 a week seems enough to me. I'll also make it so that the poll topics aren't bumped when someone votes in them - so as not to clutter this forum so much.
