I would like to start off by saying I could care less about what people say of my posts. Thanks for letting me know I post to much or I have to many posts. This site will be gone at the end of the year so I am getting in as many posts as I can before that happens. For those of you who offered your suggestions of how I should post: These suggestions have fallen on deaf ears. I enjoy what I am doing and I appreciate those who have responded positively.

I will continue to post as I feel. If you don't want to read my posts then don't. I am officially closing the other track polls this week. You can continue to vote if you like, but I am in the process of finishing my new CD.

The reason that I embarked on this poll-a-thon is because I wanted to create a new Live CD based on the best song from each track position. Often when I make a new Live CD I use the same songs so I wanted to get the opinion of other Live fans. I have to say I am very suprised and I would have never of thought to pick some of the songs that are on this list. Thank you for your help. This is the CD so far:

Track #1 The Dam At Otter Creek (TC)
Track #2 Lakini's Juice (SS)
Track #3 I Alone (TC)
Track #4 Run To The Water (TDTH)
Track #5 Lightning Crashes
Track #6 Like I Do (BOP)
Track #7 Where The Fishes Go (TDTH)
Track #8 Turn My Head (SS)
Track #9 T.B.D. (TC)
Track #10 Freaks (SS)
Track #11 They Stood Up For Love (TDTH)
Track #12 Pillar of Davidson (TC)
Track #13 White, Discussion (TC)
Track #14 Horse (TC)
Bonus Track #1 ????
Bonus Track #2 ????

Because there are so many great Live songs I decided to add two more to my CD. I would like to add your favorite runner up. I have placed each of these in a poll, so please vote for your favorite.

I would also like to add your favorite song from "Death Of A Dictionary", Live's first album recorded under the name Public Affection. Vote on these if you have heard them.

Thanks for helping me put together a great collection of songs to enjoy. For those also looking to make a great CD you can use this thread if you would like.

I would also like to suggest the last CD that I made of my favorite Live songs. I have found this to be a great mix but have worn it out in my CD player. I put a lot of effort into choosing these songs and ordering them. They fit onto an 80 minute CD if you are interested.

Track #1 Opiration Spirit (MTV Unplugged Version)
Track #2 Selling The Drama
Track #3 Mystery
Track #4 Heaven
Track #5 Simple Creed
Track #6 Turn My Head
Track #7 The River
Track #8 They Stood Up For Love
Track #9 Waitress
Track #10 All Over You
Track #11 The Dolphin's Cry
Track #12 Lakini's Juice
Track #13 Lightning Crashes
Track #14 Sweet Release
Track #15 Run To The Water
Track #16 Love Shines
Track #17 Shit Towne
Track #18 I Alone
Track #19 White, Discussion (MTV Unplugged Version)

If you chose to make this I think you will really enjoy it. thumbsup.gif

Thanks again for your help and for voting in my polls to make the Ulitimate Live CD based on Track #'s.

Add a virtual tally to 'Selling The Drama' for me! I didn't vote as I've never heard anything from DOAD. Thanks for keeping us entertained!

I voted Mother Earth and Good Pain to be the last two songs on your album.

Thanks for the polls, Hoodstock.

Any "Best of Live" CD without a single song from Mental Jewelry is a joke.

Just my opinion.

This is what Hoodstock would say:
Apparently the best songs on Mental Jewelry are at the most competitive track positions.

lol.gif
I keep my stance: this CD is so stupid.

Yeah, I thought my thread was much more effective for determining the ULTIMATE Live setlist.

Here it is: http://www.fansoflive.com/forums/index.php...topic=684&st=60

(The results are tabulated in post #69, although I never got around to adding the votes that came after that.)

I picked Ghost and Raising a Man. If Live ever re-recorded Raising a Man, it could be a hit. They'd have to keep that old-school feel to it though, and not ruin it with horrible overproduction.

Now there's something I completely agree with you on. Such a great song.
