I will not respond to any negative responses about this song. I am looking to discuss it with people who like it!

cool.gif For some reason The River has been bashed repeatedly on this board. I wanted to make a forum for those that love the song to talk about it without worrying what everyone else thinks. I have had a chance to obsorb SFBM for a while now and there are three songs that stand out to me. Mystery, Love Shines, and The River.

I think that The River is a great song. In fact, it may be my favorite on the album. Despite what others think, I enjoy the melody, I think the hook is catch, and I think it is a fun song to listen too.

I wanted to hear what other lovers of this song think.

Finally some credit where its due! I Love SFBM it is a Great album with some great songs on it! Especially The River like you said it is so catchy and fun!

I also love Show at the moment! Have you seen Rockpalast 2006? It is awesome!! They play 4 songs from this album and its sooo good smile.gif

I think SFBM is great. Love shines, The River, Sophia, Show, Wings,Mystery and Night of Nights are all great Live songs. 7 great songs out of 12 can't be that wrong. First time I heard a little part of the River, I mailed it to my buddy, the one who get me innterested in Live. And we bouth agree, this sounded great, and I think it still does.
Love Shines is the big fav.....On a crystal clear blue mornin'

I also love The River. I was really bummed that the guys didn't play it in AC because it really rocks in concert. Maybe next time.
