Now that Live has out seven albums and "Best Of" I wanted to ask for a general opinion. On each of their album covers (except for SFBM which is the same as TC) the band's name was written in a different way (either by color or style).

Out of these choices which is the best band logo design. I stuck between the "+Live+" from "Awake" or the "Live" from "The Distance To Here" album.

Which album cover logo do you think is the best?

But may I correct you...? Cuz I think not only SFBM is the same as the one on TC, but the one at V as well, it's only another collor bot the font is exactly the same.

I voted for the TC/SFBM, classic Live.

Although I have a t-shirt with the Awake Logo printed (+Live+) and that one is very cool as well cool.gif



EDIT: ohw and btw, I will never understand the BoP logo ...! I mean, the bird is very cool, but the font in which Live is spelled is very silly in my opinion...not a logo for a rockband, it's like robot letters, pfff

I know it looks the same but I did say directly in my first statement that color could be considered a difference, therefore, it is not the same. tongue.gif

I agree with you. At one point, that logo along with the lyrics to Tired Of Me were inked on every desk I sat in, freshman year of college.

I went with TC/SFBM. I Love TDTH but I really HATE that logo. It's just a bit too feminine for my taste.

The logo looks oke, but the '+' look like stars instead of crosses. I mean, the + at Awake is cool, the + at MJ is not cool (in my opinion hea! nod.gif ). But the font is oke.

I think that the band also think the TC logo is the best. I mean, after V you could say it's maybe to bring back the TC days into the cover art, but than they used it twice again (between the crosses on Awake and just in normal style on SFBM.

Remarkable that the 4 first albums, by many cosidered as the best, had all different logo's.
Live was still more creative at that time.... yeah eh.gif

Cool thread!

For me it's hard to pick. I love the Throwing Copper/ Songs from Black Mountain (I even have a shirt with that logo on it) and I also love the SS one; very simple yet very cool. But my favourite is the Mental Jewelry one.

I don't really like the Distance and Birds of Pray logo, by the way.

I like TDTH logo the best. I do like the typical Live logo, but I think the change up with something different is very cool. My least favorite is the robotic look on BOP.

My husband actually had a glass pipe (for tobacco smoking, of course wink.gif ) blown for me as a pre-engagment gift and sent the artist the cover of TDTH thumbsup.gif
