22. Dance with You
and i agree that the show started a little bit slow.. but dude, did they not MORE than make up for it ??!! sure they didnt start on time, but did Ed not continue the show (for more than half an hour !) when the HOB guys were trying to turn the p.a. music back on ??
i've been to 20+ LiVE shows too, and this one was FAR from being lame ! although i do miss hearing some of the SS songs from the '97 tour, i can say whole-heartedly that these boys NEVER disappoint me.

I don't think the show started off slow, but it was weird for Live to hold off any of their radio hits through the first 8 songs. Usually you get Selling the Drama and All Over You early on. It was an excellent show!

Well it's Sunday, not 4AM Saturday morning, but I can finally say this was a fucking fabulous concert. However, on the whole, I enjoyed the Nokia Theatre show in NYC in May a lot more. The songs were done better and there were two or three more songs, but nonetheless, this concert was great. The best news of the night was when Ed said that the next album would be an "angry" one because he's sick of all the shit on the radio...I'm liking this idea already! Another thing to add: I don't think they'll wait until 2009 to release their next record. It definitely won't be 2007, but I'd be willing to bet on 2008. Hopefully we'll get a few select shows next year to tide us over.

Anyway, the highlights of the show were Pain Lies on the Riverside, Lightning Crashes, Wings, White Discussion (which seemed to go on forever! it was awesome), the part where Ed sang that Gnarls Barkley song, Ed's feistiness, and a lot of other things. Mainly the music though.

I must complain about the HOB, though. I can't even begin to understand why everyone is so in love with this venue. It is SUCH crap. The people working there are absolute dumbfucks, and they really do everything they can to make things as far from easy for you as possible. And to top it off, it is in the king shithole of shitholes, Atlantic City. I could go on and on about the HOB and about AC, but all there is to it is that I won't be heading back there too soon to see another concert (of ANY kind).

In any case, it was fun meeting a couple people from the boards (Laura [ohtangled] and Matt [cos]), and it was fun hanging with you and your crew, Janice. Thanks again for helping me and Laura (my gf, not Alabama Laura) out with things like our bag and our positioning.

So, I guess a long period of Live nothingness is to follow. All I hope comes out of it is a re-energized Live (as in the V era or before) and an awesome new album. I'm more optimistic now than I've ever been before that Live can pull themselves together to make incredible music again. But for now, I'm content with seeing Live twice this year perform great gigs.

P-fucking-S: Ed did not do his usual beckoning hand motion during the "come to me" part in Dolphin's Cry, which is lame. Everyone knows it's the sexiest thing that he does and both me and Laura were upset that he did not do it. Ed, I will kill you if you do not do it in the future.

And in case anyone was wondering who the fuck kept yelling out for them to play Waitress, that was me and two or three other peeps next to me. Sucks they didn't play it, but I'm happy they played what they did and that the trip to AC and the money I spent was worth it.

It's Sunday night - 10:25pm.
Exactly 48 hours ago, the house music went down.
And I STILL don't have my voice. (I haven't lost my voice for more than a day since the TC shows! )

I don't even know what to say. I was tossing back & forth between this show and the Philly show either one of those is definitely #1 of my 41.

As predicted, I cried when I finally got to Laura. I was hoping to find her before she found me, but from far in the distance I heard a crazy red headed voice scream my name. I fucking tackled her. Ran at full speed and quite possibly knocked over some senior citizens before I got to her.

I'm completely in love with Matt & his crew. I'm completely in love with Laura and the fact that she's actually alive. Way too many things for me to talk about. The entire night was absolute perfection.

Patrick's bass was LOOOOOUD. Fucking awesome. I was on the barricades, right in front of him. Matt & T screamed their ode to Gracey, on cue, right in the most inappropriate moment of Lightning Crashes hahahha He actually gave them the \m/ sign during the song & tossed them another drumstick afterward.

Iris = Gracey.
Holy shit.

I seriously can't put together one comprehensive thought about this show. Still.

Woah. Dude, I was second row from the rail, RIGHT IN FRONT of Patrick. I was next to a tall guy with black hair, I'm a 17-year old with short brown hair, but I wasn't that kid with the curly hair along the barricades more towards the center. During Rattlesnake, Chad T did his solo pretty much right in front of my face.

Then you were both about six feet to my left. There was a very tall, older, grey-haired man who kept leaning on my left arm, and a curly-haired, red-head to my right (my new Friend in Live, Laura). I think the tall guy with the black hair was Matt??
