If these weekend shows end up being the end of Live's run as a band, what will your feelings be? I am really excited that Friday will be my 20th show. I also think its cool that it will also be my 5th Atlantic City show and I think it is a great place for the band to go out in the US. However, I also feel the band has more to offer musically and don't think any band could replace them for me(concert or CD wise). If the band does decide to part ways, it will leave a great void musically in my life, one that I don't imagine ever being filled again. I do hope the rumored DVD filming does happen this Friday, because it would be fitting end for the band to be able to share their final public performance with the world.

Now I am not saying for sure that Live is done as a band, but it looks like their long tour and run with Epic has come to an end. Many bands don't come back in the same form after a long hiatus, but hopefully this won't be the case with Live. I just hope people try their best to find their way to a concert this weekend, because if it is the end and you miss it when you could have made it, there will be a lot of regret in Liveland.

I dont think this is the end of LIVE. Also, where are you getting your information from that they are done with Epic Records. I have checked multiple music industry sites which include information on the artist, including record label and all of them still list Epic as LIVE's label. I do not think they are done with Epic, I just think they are very low on Epic's list of artists

Not even I believe a word of it.

Yeah dude as disappointed with recent live stuff as I have been, I just don't see any reason to believe Live are gonna call it quits.

I'd be pretty freaking upset sad.gif

I also don't think it's gonna happen, though. I mean, they have been pretty much on constant tour for what feels like 4 years? They deserve a looooong break. And I'll be waiting when they come back. thumbsup.gif

Where the hell are people getting the idea that Live is done?! Am I missing something here? Does someone have some inside information that the rest of us don't know about? I just don't get it. Not having a record deal anymore, if that is in fact the case, hardly means they are done as a band.

Although I doubt that it is the end for them if it was I would personally be sad to see them give up without trying at least one last time to come out with some good music. I can't say that it would leave any kind of void in my life as Live is not anywhere close to being as large of a part of my life as they used to be but it would be a shame for those fans that still enjoy their new music.

Seriously...another Live quit thread? WHY?

And when they sometime down the line say: well, we're done. that'll be it. I'll miss the gigs... but it's not like all of a sudden all my cd's will selfdestruct or sumthin.

Bands can end on even worse things than voluntary quitting. No one ever started a When will Kurt Cobain finally shoot himself thread on nirvana.com. No one ever started a When will Freddie Mercury die of Aids thread on queen.com. Things happen... things can go wrong. But all this crap about this is gonna be the final concert and shit, annoying.

so no matter what.... there'll always be the music. even when for what reason whatsoever Live ceases to exist....

Hey, what long hiatus?! I thought they were coming back to Holland in February?
...I'm kinda counting on that!

Lien: there are a lot of people here who don't like that Live started to make softer and "lighter" music and less complicated sounding lyrics with easier words (but still the same messages in it I think).
SJN1279 is one of the people who doesn't like the softer Live.

These people want Live to take a long break (long hiatus) and them to return with the kind of music they made in the early 90's.
And otherwise they want Live to quit.

I have felt annoyed because of this for a very long time.
But I'm getting over it now.
I think it's better to be tolerant and to respect their opinion, even if it annoys or hurts you.

But deep inside I'm done with this kind of topics too.

GvB.

Even if Live stops producing albums, I just dont see them not doing tours anymore. Their name is Live...

I'm hoping that Live can do what Pearl Jam did with their latest album. Make a comeback. I'm sure some people will disagree with me and say Pearl Jam's album was crap, but it is growing on me. Inside Job is particularly suberb.

Anywho...Sharks are on tonight!!!

I really don't think they will quit, and if they do than this is the first thing I hear about it...
