smile.gif while yes....Adam is quite HOT!! He really has nothing on Ed!!!!!!!!! Ed is just so damn sexy smile.gif
The funky dance moves, the heart and soul in the lyrics and the sound of his voice saying things like "this crazy fog surrounds me you wrap your legs around me" or him singing All Over You rubbing his hands over his HOT, sweaty body......now that would be one hot........

why is eds brother never included in the band photos, videos etc he always tours with them.
i just think hes kool and wondered why?

Back to the original question. Live has toured with other people as part of the band before. For example they had the keyboards on their tour for The Distance To Here Album (my personal favorite). Michael Railton and Jerry Harrison put down the keys on the album and for all purposes were part of the band at this time. Adam was also on this album and he played on the tour too.

It seems to me that Live will add people to change the sound, but they like to maintain that the original four members are their band. I don't know the exact reason for this, but I do think that it is pretty cool. Even though Adam is "kool", has been played with them extensively on tour, and has been a large part of Live's recordings he is not part of the original band.

As it says in the Secret Samadi album info, as well as the other CD's, "Live is Chad Taylor, Patrick Dalheimer, Chad Gracey, and Edward Kowalczyk." The band itself will always be Ed, Chad, Chad, and Pat and the fact they have stuck to this statment for all these years is awesome.

Rock on guys!

QUOTE(Heather @ Oct 30 2006, 7:26 pm) *

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he is grateful for the chance and the money that he makes doing it allows him the freedom to persue his own music so I'm sure he's not complaining. I just think if given the choice he would prefer to stay on his own and persue his own music career rather than become a full member of Live. Of course that is just my opinion and we don't really know what he would choose to do but I for one would be really bummed if he gave up on his own music.

I agree with you, Heather (sorry Sherocker!) I don't think Adam wants to be an official member of Live either, at least that's what I read in this piece he wrote in his tour diary a few months back:

"... We played at a place called Vnuk's...from the outside, you would think we were heading into the Bates Motel and in for a murderous surprise...but, to our amazement, it was quite a nice joint, a full stage, a great sound system and good people. Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised. during the show, I had made a comment to the lovely 20 people in attendance about my experiences on the road and with LIVE. The dichotomy of playing in front of thousands of people with LIVE and the 20 of whom I had full attention never seems to amaze me. It tends to hit home when people walk up to you and ask, "why the hell are you playing here?" "you don't have a record deal?" or when someone plays a few LIVE songs on the jukebox to bust your balls. I take it all in stride, I love what I do and I appreciate all the steps and whomever comes in for a moment on this journey I call life. Thanks for stopping by and listening.

So I guess in conclusion on this tangent...I'll use an e-mail from a dear friend...

"The brook would lose its sound without the rocks."

take care and hope to see you soon,
Adam
"

You think he'd put up with all this shit for such a long time already and then just give it all up?
I don't...

haha i know it hasn't anything to do with this topic, but I was thinking when I read this...why didn't Live worked together with Harrison anymore after TDTH, while before that he was producer of 3 of the 4 albums till than.
What happened to Jerry? sad.gif Compare MJ, TC and TDTH with the Jim albums BoP and SFBM.

Bring back Jerry!!!! guitar.gif
