Wow, that bitchass George Allen from Virginia looks like he's gonna lose, the Democrats still have a chance at the Senate.

Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but doesn't this always happen in the mid term elections in the USA?

And yes, they ARE all the same. What was the joke at th alst elections... are you going to vote for the multi-millionaire from one of the USA's most influential families or are you voting for George Bush.

I'm not a Democrat or a Republican so I really don't give two shits.

I pray for the day Libertarians take over. Then I'll be happy.

Basically, yes. But its mainly about voting for the lesser of two evils.

And yeah I hope that bitch ass George Allen gets his due. Racist motherfucker!

I disagree, it is NOT all the same. We're dealing with making decisions over important issues such as the ongoing and futile occupation in Iraq (and what kind of strategy must be implemented and whether or not it is time to pull out), the shoving of pro-life "morals" down our throats, an absolutely humongous budget deficit, environmental policy, Supreme Court judges, religion and its role in government, immigration, and many other issues. Last time I checked, Democrats and Republicans generally disagreed over ALL of these issues. Yes, the Democrats are pussies, yes, the two parties are essentially two evils, and yes, all of the candidates have no grasp of what really needs to be accomplished in government and are multi-millionaires who don't deserve to run and don't represent the general public, but all in all, it is still very important to have people in office who are willing to stand up for the issues I mentioned above, even when it comes to a simple tip of the scales in a midterm election and the gaining of both houses of Congress by the Democrats. I'm sure most of us here care about the aforementioned issues enough that we should all understand the importance of voting (or holding a distinct opinion) even if it is between the two same old dreary rotten parties.

Yup, now we got a lot to look forward to:

higher taxes
even bigger government
more welfare
smaller military

oh yeah, and...

gettin' hit again by the terrorists, 'cept this time it'll make 9/11 look like a joke.

GO DEMS!

I'd just like to point out how ignorant that was. So, since I don't wanna waste my own words on you, here's a good article to prove your ignorance for me.

"Unable to shrink government but unwilling to improve it, conservatives attempt
to split the difference, expanding government for political gain, but always in
ways that validate their disregard for the very thing they are expanding. The
end result is not just bigger government, but more incompetent government....
If government is necessary, bad government, at least for conservatives, is
inevitable, and conservatives have been exceptionally good at showing just how
bad it can be. Hence the truth revealed by the Bush years: Bad
government--indeed, bloated, inefficient, corrupt, and unfair government--is the
only kind of conservative government there is. Conservatives cannot govern well
for the same reason that vegetarians cannot prepare a world-class boeuf
bourguignon: If you believe that what you are called upon to do is wrong, you
are not likely to do it very well. "

whatever dumbass, why don't you study history. i am conservative but not necessarily republican. the democrats are simply more fucked up as will soon be obvious since pelosi of all people is the new speaker. the libertarians have the best ideas for the most part except their fucked up thoughts on drugs. i have spent 18 years of my life protecting a lot of good americans and also a lot of stupid fucking americans. your beloved democrats have in recent history proved how fucked up they are at protecting us. blame bush if you want for 9/11, but it goes way back before he took office.

and yeah, your editorial you posted is about as relevant to me as my editorial here is to you. least i have enough thought to post my own words and don't have to use someone elses.
