i really appreciate your good work. you brought people from all over the world together ... I honestly owe you a lot! the board was just born when I came here first ... damn, its years ago. so much has happened and although im not a permanent visitor anymore this place feels a lot like (LIVE-)home.

i really hope this place will find a befitting follower but it just wont be the same without you!

Wow, this is really sad news. Thanks Dan for everything. Your site, being a great mod and sharing lots of unreleased stuff with us. I hope this site or at least the message board does not go down because frankly this place is like home to me. Its the only place I can come and chat freely with fellow fans about my fav band. My friends, family and coworkers are total R&B/Hip Hop lovers and thats all they care about.

Wow, this is just sad news. I remember the day Jim told us he was shutting down Live-Web, this is worse.

Dan, thank you so much for giving us Live-dorks a place to hang out and be free. I also am among those who would love to buy the site, but alas, I am still climing the ladder of my new career and have NO cash right now. I certainly hope someone does keep it running.

Wow. Despite some of the recent disappointment I have had with the band, and some long periods in which I have avoided this site altogether, fansoflive.com has been a HUGE part of my life for almost 5 years. Of course, Dan has been at the center of it all, and I owe a huge amount of gratitude to him for graciously, elegantly, and selflessly running the site for so long.

I can say, without a doubt, that I have never been part of a message board that is as well-run as this one has been.

Danny-cakes, as nutty as this might sound, you really have added so much to my life. I have a whole new armory of friends and a lifetime of memories. I hope someone half as deserving picks up the reins. It'll only be awesome at that point

Wow, Dan, I really can only echo what everyone else has been saying. By far my favorite site on the web, you have done an outstanding job keeping it fresh and fun as the rollercoaster of Live music has continued. I remember asking you questions about things through IM and you graciously answered anything I needed, especially when I was beginning to get into Live (was it really 5 years ago?). I am really thankful for all your work on this site and the dedication you have continued to show in keeping this site great. If this site is any indication, whatever you are doing/will do in the future will be of great value to all involved.

Thanks for all your time and help to all of us on the board. I definitely hope someone hops up and tries to continue the great thing you have started here (as I too am a student beginning graduate school, money and time are few and far between at this point).
