They had some cameras set up at the Cape Town concert and I asked Chad G about the DVD after the show. He said they planned to film the Joburg concert (which would make sense as it is a huge venue and there were about 16000 people) but it didn't work out in the end. He said that the DVD should be out early next year. When I told him that we've been waiting a long time for this he said they've been waiting along time for this too. He also said that it will probably be a full concert with some extra footage of other gigs.

Now we wait....

PS: I hope the footage taken at the CT gig will be shown some time. Knowing SA TV I'm not holding my breath.

SWEET! Thanks for gleaning info from the Chad, Maggie. As I stated previously, South Africa is an awesome place for them to film a DVD. I just hope the "extra footage" is really quality material taken from gigs from throughout their career, including the MJ, TC, and SS tours, and that they filmed and put together the SA gig nicely. This could potentially be very cool.

I think what I got from what CHad said was that the plan to use footage of the Joburg concert fell through, so i don't think it will be from any concerts from SA. sad.gif I'm going to try and find out whether the footage shot in Cape Town will be aired at all.

I've just remembered when I saw the concert date in Atlantic City that Chad mentioned something about later this month at the HOB. So, maybe that's where they going to be filming the DVD?? Is that a good venue for something like this?

Not sure... It would be fucking awesome if that is the case! kicking.gif I'm still trying to find out from Big Concerts (the tour promotor) what the the cameras were for.

lol, i remember at the perth gig I went up to one of the techs at the back and asked him if he was filiming the show coz he had this massive camera looking thing. He looked at me for like 10 seconds then shook his head. So i got a little pissed and said, "well what are the cameras for, mate?". he looked at me for another 10 seconds then grumbled "Its a spotlight!"

Holy shit. If they filmed at HOB later this month, that would be pretty awesome. Especially because I'll be there eyebrow.gif
