Not really opening bands since it was a festival, but I'll say Rusted Root and The Clarks before LIVE's headliner at the Rolling Rock Town Fair in 2005. Now, I've seen The Clarks many times before and many times after that show, but it was my first time seeing Rusted Root and it was a really good set.

Now, the Bloodhound Gang, who preceded Rusted Root, that was just awful.

I thought the Bloodhound Gang rocked. I actually bought the CD. Can you really diss a band that has a song about getting all wacked out on Scooby Snacks. I thought king of New York also rocked.

Ours opened up for Live (sort of since it was a festival) in 2004 at Summerfest in Milwaukee. They were awesome, but only played for about 45 mins.

I've seen +LIVE+ multiple times and the openers can be hit or miss I agree, but a few have been really good. Local H opened for them in Louisville, KY (5/16/00) and really rocked the Palace Theater. Local H had some success in the late 90's and early '00 with a few hits. I also in enjoyed a local Penn. band that opened some shows for them this year, their name is The Brakes. I got a chance to talk to them after a show and they were all great guys. Though not opening for +LIVE+, but co-headlining The Counting Crows was a great combo with the boys. Both bands even jammed together on stage a few times, which is a great memory for me.

I did see Michelle Branch kiss.gif opening for Live at the Pontiac Arts, Beats, and Eats a few years back. She did a pretty solid show to open up.

Live, though, did own the show bowdown.gif
