I was listening to a cd - a random selection of Live tunes - while in the shower last night.

I have to admit I wasn't really paying much attention to it until "Run To The Water" came on.

Holy shit... that is one fucking 100% brilliant Live song right there.

RTTW has always been one of my favourite LiVE songs. Then, in 2002, it achieved special meaning. That was the year of the massive Biscuit forest fire here in Southern Oregon that burned 1/2 million acres. The valleys totally filled with smoke for almost two months. It was horrendous. One day my buddy and I decided to drive to the coast to hopefully escape the smoke. Along the way we stopped at Oregon's second highest waterfall. Later along the highway we were listening to LiVE and RTTW came on. That's what we were doing. Running to the water. Not only that, I envisioned the fact that some of the water molecules we would encounter at the Pacific Ocean had previously actually fallen over the waterfall we had visited. Heavy shit, I'll tell you. smile.gif

I remember reading an interview with Ed about TDTH. He said it was more songs about love and water.
