well i had a good night. I dont think ive screamed so much in my life. Was a good game though, whether youre an eagles supporter or not, or if you prefer soccer, as far as nail-biters go, this grand final takes the cake. Yeh Pokey I prefer dockers but the fact a west australian team were in the final, played the same team as last year, and bet them by roughly what they were beaten by is enough to make me root for them. And im not even into footy, but something happened this year when the finals moon rose, i turned into some sort of retarded aussie pie-eating beer-guzzling low-vocabulary cheering moron. But its over now.

Although if the game was to go another 30 seconds or so it would have at least been a draw or a sydney win .. they had all the momentum and the throw in was in their forward 50.

God Ted Richards is a card, he played probably the best game of his life until the end when he kicked it out on the full which probably cost them the match .. good to see Essendon let him to go fuck up a grand final for another team!

My poor JETS crushed 3-0 by perth.

We played hopelesly. perth played better than i've seen in two years. they seem to be in the same form as they were in when they played in the old NSL.

Melbourne Victory seem to be unstopable as they disposed of Queensland Roar yesterday betting them 4-1 infront of yet another sold out game.

Sydney play Adelaide Latter today.

Sydney crushed Adelaide 4-1 thanks to geust star player Banito Carbone.

If Proppa FOOTBALL has no Quality than why is it the most popular and most entertaining game in the world.

I've watched AFL and its just a bunch of men in tight shorts grooing each other.

More women than men watch it and not for the sport. does that tell you some thing about you game?

Yes its that time again for people who wont addmit that football is the best sport in the world to hear me yammer on about this weekends fixtures.

Friday night brings us a double header. First game is Adelaide FC V Central Coast Mariners. Adelaide will be looking to regain some respect after a crushing defeat from Sydney on Monday, however CC Mariners are off to a good start after their first win last weekend against NZ knights. Though it is in my opinion that Adelaide should bring yet another lose to an out of form CCM.
Straight after we will see Perth Glory V New Zealand Knights. Perth have found their form and seem to be the stronger side over all, but NZ Knights have proven them selves to be a side not to be underestimated.

Saturday is the Friendly between Australia and Paraguay. Paraguay are a strong side with South American Flair but as this is the Last Game for many of the Australian World Cup Team it is going to be a Memorable Game.

Sunday is Sydney FC V Queensland Roar. Sydney with Carbone look to be the winning Side However Qld will be looking to make up for a humilliating lose last week to the clear leaders Melbourne.

The second Game on Sunday will Be the Mighty Newcastle JETS V Melbourne Victory. The JETS in their current state are looking down the nose of a crushing defeat from the League leaders. But I still have hope of a victory, our First win and the begining of a turn around for the Nose diving JETS.

Wednesday is Australia V Bahrain. This is the return leg of our Asian cup qualifier. Australia should win this easily in front of a home crowed and to prove that they are a solid team.

Smashing crowds to these A league games compared to the AFL... sarcasm.gif

The weekend is over and we are leftsweeping up the ruins of two teams.
Fridays games saw Perth beat New Zealand 1-0 and Adeliade beat Central Coast 3-1

Saturday saw Australia Tie against Paraguay 1-1

Sunday saw Sydney 1-1 with Queensland Roar
And my Newcastle Jets Beat again 2-0 at home by the still undefeated Melbourne Victory.

The A-League is still young, so our numbers are going to increase slowly each year. And I'm from NSW. AFL is large in Vic but every where else you get similar sized crowds to AFL as any other code of Football. so year just 1 million.
