Dearest Rocknerd,
I am well aware who wrote All Along The Watchtower, and who wrote Little Wing, I probably heard both long before you did. rolleyes.gif We were discussing whose version of Little Wing we would like to hear Live play. ........ok?

Bob Dylan may have written it, but Hendrix did the better version of it. That's why that's the one you always hear.

Genesis - That's all (I love this song and Live so there ya go)
Stone Temple Pilots - Atlanta (Kick ass. Song sounds like one of The Doors songs)
Bruce Hornsby - Thats just the Way it is (Singers sound totally different, but would be cool)
David Gray - Sail Away (I doubt Live can do a better cover than the original. The only reason this song is good because of David Gray's unique voice)

Anyways, any of these songs would kick ass if Lived covered them.
EDIT: Is there any Genesis fans? I'm was too young to see them in concert, but I fell in love with them after I heard That's All. I taught myself to read music because I wanted to play that song on the piano.

I'm not a Genesis-fan, but there are a few songs that I really like.
That are "Jesus knows me", about people abusing religion and "Land of confusion" (especially the line: "I wont be coming home tonight, my generation will put it right.").

GvB.

How about something by Neil Young? I think they would have a nice chance with some of his more rock-oriented songs.

What?! Really?! Wait, who is this Bob Dylan person that you are talking about? laugh.gif Did he cover Jimi's version of All Along the Watchtower? God I am so confused being that I don't know my rock history and all! lol.gif lol.gif

And yeah we were talking about Little Wing. SRV's version is better but it's like the chicken and the egg. The SRV version would never have existed without the Hendrix one. Either way I doubt Live could pull it off. The SRV version anyway. (of Little Wing)

Firstly to all those that i offended by miss reading what song you were all talking about im sorry.

Dylans is the best! thats it I cant help it if your only in it for the guitar.
Dylans voice was much more soulful and beautifully done. Covers can never have as much soul as the person who wrote the song in the first place.
