Hey everybody, I've been wanting to get a tattoo that incorporates Live somehow. I was thinking the album cover from secret samadhi or something symbolic by incorporating my favorite Live lyric which is "I often tried to hold the sea, the sun, the fields, the tide". Please let me know if you have any ideas for me.

Personally, I'm not sure I'd want to tattoo something on my body related to a band. Isn't that kinda like getting someone's name tattooed on you? What if they do something in the future that you're ashamed of?

I don't know...just giving my personal thoughts. I wouldn't do it. no.gif

But, Live does have some really cool art. thumbsup.gif happy.gif

ive decided a long time ago that when im old enough i wanna get the lakini thats on the front of ss tattooed...thatll be so sweet!....yeah i think u should go for it if u dont mind sharing it with me in a couple years! lol

I got Lakini tatooed on my arm last year. There's been posts before about Live tattoos. When Ed did the Max session earlier this year. there were at least three people with Live tats. Its all up to the individual I suppose if you wanna get one or not.

SS is probably the most common tattoo ive seen, but if you want it get it. Tattoos of bands and FOOTBALL teams are as popular as trible tattooing. Bands and teams show commitment to the cause, that you over everyone who doesnt have a tat are truely a fan.

personally though I just go for the lettering from the river single. The tat i cant wait to get (its really expensive) is angel man, the logo from Led Zeppelin. it rocks so hard. that and the Clash logo

Why not the The Distance To Here-cover? wink.gif That 'll definitely test the skills of the tattoo artist! lol.gif

i'm personaly not into tattoo's, there are some good ones around, but it's not my thing. and i'm also not for taking a LIVE related tattoo, as u never know if you'll be a life long fan of theirs..do u see yourself in your 80's walking around with a drawing on your back from the distance..? hmmm, think not no.gif

i have LiVE in TC script on the outside of my right ankle under the triple celtic knot...and hell yeah, i will love it when i am 180 as i did the day i had it done. it means so much more than just the band....realizing many dreams of mine since I found their music and my LiVE family and in particular, someone who means everything to me.

I think you should get a Live tattoo, if thats the one u want. But remember tomake it big enough, a lot of people make a small the first time, and regrets the sise later. looking forward to see the picture of it.

I love lacrosse. And I love egyptian things.
The heiroglyph for "to live" sorta looks like a lacrosse player. So that's what I'm getting.

My advice is to NOT take the lyric literally. Maybe think of something that makes you feel as good as that lyric does and incorporate THAT into the image? shrug.gif

Either way, show us when you decide!
