Just seeing the name of this thread pissed me off. I dont care how bad their new stuff sucks compared to their old stuff. Any LIVE is better than no LIVE. Seriously-GO AWAY with your ridiculous thoughts. Until Ed starts getting as fucked up as Michael Jackson I say make the music!!!!

This is the first thread I have taken the time to read all the way through for months now and actually reply.

It s funny now how everyone seems to be coming to Live's defence when not quite a year ago, your saw ppl like Mr Mcpheezy throwing off at them (Live) in the exact same fasion. Now im not saying what he said wasnt justified (thats not the point) the point is, no one or very few, had the guts to tell him to f*#K OFF!

So what is it, that is making people dismiss a constructive argument, just because this is a "Live fan" website? Back those many months ago people were coming to Mcpheezy's support judging the slow regression of Live's music. Now the majority are saying 'you know what f**k you, Live rock no matter what' Which is dam F'n right! Just frustrates me to see people these days cant stand for what the f**kn believe in.

I concur. SFMB is definitely meaningful for Ed and I'm all for that. Even though it's pretty much crap in my opinion, I wouldn't want to see Live disband. Didn't Chad Taylor or one of the members say that they might make a rock album next time? I'm not going to get my hopes up, but that would be sick if they did. And if you are optimistic, they can't possibly spend less than three weeks creating their next album. I mean seriously, if they do then screw that shit lol.

I did not post here last year, so I cant speak to that, however there are people that have been on this board that talk shit just to talk shit. It is one thing to say the new stuff sucks, but dont EVER EVER suggest that they quit making music.

Topics like this one make me feel so unhappy.
I love as well the older as the newer songs (I love as well quiet ballads as rock).
I love the way Ed sings about love (not only the love between two lovers, but also the desire to achieve universal love, I recognize that desire) and awareness and water, which is I guess sometimes a metaphor for solidarity and commitment between everybody in this world and sometimes a metaphor for something that eases pain.
I just love it!

Okay I know that many people don't like the messages of love, commitment, easing or healing pain. Because it's very hard to achieve (I refuse to think that it is impossible) and you've got to swim against the stream of all the missery this world is in and you have to look at yourself in a way that is painful because nobody is perfect and everybody makes mistakes.

I don't mind if people don't like the newer albums, but don't say that it IS crap, just say that YOU'RE OPINION IS that it is crap.
And do yourself and people who still love Live a favour: if your love for Live is gone, leave then and go and look for other music that fits with you the way you are now.

I don't think they should call it quits, but I do think they all need to sit down and figure out a direction for the future. They all need input on the next album and hopefully the radio singles will be geared to a rock format. There should be some Hot A/C songs on the album, but the focus should be on rocking out.

Also Live needs a new producer. Jim Wirt overproduces with Hoobastank/ncubus to cover for lack of talent. Live needs no such coverage, and production should be minimal on their albums. Theres a reason they should better in concert then on CD, they need to capture that on CD.

By the way if Live waits 6 years to release their next album, there may not be albums anymore!
