Hmm well I do know that Adam did a show or two on the side when he hit Holland before but I don't know if he's ever done that in Australia. Check out his board, maybe you could ask him.

I'm going to try and catch the September 7th show at the World Cafe Live. It's a pretty cool venue.

I'll be there.

Do you buy tickets in advance?

He actually has played in Chicago before. You should sign up for his mailing list, they'll let you know when he has a show coming up.

Looks like someone beat you to it. They even suggested a venue for Adam to play. I hope it works out for everyone!

That's a good question. Last time I was there, I just bought them that night at the box office inside.

Saw Adam today at Longs Park. Much to our surprise it was a full band show! It was a weird setting for an Adam show but a nice one too. Old people playing frisbee, weird people, dogs. haha! But there were a ton of people there and most of them seemed to really enjoy Adam's set. He only played for a half hour but he did some of my favorites. Come Undone, Sitting In New York, The Big One and All Night. He actually had a woman doing back up vocals on All Night and they sounded amazing singing together. She also joined him on a cover of Marvin Gaye's What's Goin On. Awesome song and Adam did it justice. Just gorgeous! At that point there were even people up out of there chairs dancing. He also did one new song by himself on an acoustic. I don't know the name of it but I loved it. Something about writing letters. I hope he does it again the next time I see him. Another great show where I'm sure Adam gained some more new fans.

i agree that this show was not like any other Adam shows, but there was a very large crowd and i agree that people seemed to be having a great time during his set! i loved the addition of the Marvin Gaye cover too! thumbsup.gif

Do you think we will ever be able to convince him to do that cover tune again someday?

depending on who the woman singing with him is, and if she is available for other shows, i think it's a definite possibility!

Was it also about "home" and "sand"?

...just realized how stupid that sounded confused.gif I remember he played a new song in Holland a few months back (he said he wrote it just a few weeks before that); I loved it, but now I can't remember it anymore... sad.gif

i don't know if i remember that part. the only part i can remember is (like heather said) something about writing letters and these letters are the best things he's ever written, or something like that. shrug.gif
