I hate to say it but I think Lukas will win. It's probably already set up that way. He is supposed to have this fake pissy attitude and he is supposed to screw up a song once in awhile and then come back stronger every week until the end when they choose him over Dilana. I think it's bullshit. But his voice fits right in with most of the other crap on the radio these days and it usually is more about looks and attitude than substance anyway so he is perfect for the gig. I hate everything about him.

Excuse my rant, it's the tequila talking.

man, I could sure use some tequila right about now sad.gif

I hate Lukas too but i think you may be right, Heather, that that asswipe may win. I want Magni to win the competition though. Love the rawness of his voice. And man is he oh so, so sooo sexy eyebrow.gif

oh and Fuck Chris Daughtry, I wanna see a duet with Magni and Ed instead. What a powerful performance that would be happy.gif

Yeah I'm not a fan of Chris Daughtry either. He's an Ed clone with no vocal range. I don't really think Magni is trying to copy Ed like Chris was, I think he is just a fan of Live's, which is cool. I like his voice better than Chris's that is for sure.

Well, I don't know now damnit. I think he sounded way off tonight. Like he was trying too hard. I thought he sounded a thousand times better just doing it acoustic. I taped both performances and have listened to them both and all I can say is that to me, the encore sounded like complete shit compared to his performance the night before.

Anyhow, even way back when, I heard Ed try and give it to this tune and his voice just wasn't strong enough. But who knows, he's probably nailed it and I just haven't heard it. After all, I've heard him nail several songs over time and I've heard him absolutely butcher the same song at a different time. One thing is for sure, this song is one song that sounds better recorded than it does "live" for LIVE.

you are right...THE ACOUSTIC version was MUCH better then last night!!!

No way in hell did and WILL magni EVER sing dolphins better than Ed. Maybe in his dreams he wishes he could. Liverocks77 , You don't enjoy the person who wrote the song singing it anymore.? I'm sorry but...that has to be the stupidest thing i ever ever heard anyone say.
JMO.

Dilana will probably win but Ryan has shown some stuff! lol.gif

I have to agree with Liverocks to an extent. Magni's performance was refreshing, whereas I feel Ed's has become somewhat bland.

Well like todd said, Magni's acoustic version was refreshing and very well done. That acoustic performance of the song was easily better than any of the ten or so times I've heard ed sing it. Easily better. I can even give you the link to youtube.com and there's another 4 or 5 versions of it where AGAIN, Magni sounds ten times better than any of them, if not more.

And no, I've never enjoyed Ed singing that song. His voice isn't nearly strong enough and there's been times I've heard him sing it that I'm actually embarassed for him. I've even cringed at times and put my arms up in defense, to try and block the sound from coming at me. I think that he sings the song so blandly now because he realizes he can't come close to hitting the pitches he needs to. I've always said that is one tough song for ANYBODY to sing but Magni did almost a perfect job of it in his acoustic performance. Again, ten times better than I've ever heard ed do it....easily.

It was an all accoustic version. I cant remember all the performances. Dilana did cats in the cradle, Lukas did Hero by Chad Kroeger, Patrice did Message in a Bottle, Storm did I will Survive, Zayra was granted power to sing an original song which she did in Spanish. It was all pretty cool, but too laid back.

Hmm it was kind of a laid back show but I love it when strings are added to songs so it was cool for me.

What does everyone think of Toby? The guys were just saying what an awesome job he did on Salisbury Hill and I thought he sucked. He didn't even have all of the words right! I'm sorry but that is one of my all time favorite songs and I think he butchered it. His voice is just so blah to me.

Lukas sucked as usual. I really am beginning to despise the man.

Dilana gave me goosebumps and I thought Magni did really good again. But then I thought the song that he chose was really cool so that might have influenced me a little.

The rest of them bored me. Storm was horrible this week and I usually like her.
