Ryan totally made me eat my words this week. He finally came out of his shell and made NYC proud rockin.gif

And about Patrice, I totally changed my mind. I don't think I like her voice anymore. Her voice has this hollow quality to it where you expect more and you think more is coming but it never comes. Her
voice is basically is one dimentional.

The girl who sang Heart's 'Alone', Jill, yes, she definately has the best female voice on the show.

Alot of my opinions changed after this week. Except that I still believe Zayra should be gone. Its nice she does something interesting every week but there was 0% chance she would ever frot Supernova.

Yep, I thought he nailed it to perfection. He sounded better singing it than ed ever has in my opinion, far better.

I thought "that Australian" guy was pretty good too. Him or Magni would be the obvious choices to me.

That Lucas guy or whatever the fuck his name is can't sing for shit. I can't even phathom how somebody that bad gets on TV. He can't sing period.

Hmm I thought Magni was good but I don't think he did it better than Ed could. He did manage to give me goosebumps though. That's the first time anyone on that show has done that this season. I bet he gets the encore.

Dilana is still my favorite but I missed her last night. What song did she sing?

And yeah I still think Lukas sucks ass.

I actually don't enjoy hearing Ed sing that song anymore. I think his voice has lost a lot over the years from the non stop touring. I don't think his voice is nearly as strong and it shows. I dunno, maybe people prefer a softer version of that song but my opinion is that it sounds best when really belted out. I don't think Ed comes close to being able to do that anymore. That dude last night literally belted out that tune in a way that I don't think a lot of musicians can.

And yeah, that Lucas guy is a giant fucking loser.

I totally agree that Ed's voice is not as strong as it once was. I still like the way he hits certain notes on that song though. At least, he used to. I just remember the song the way that he used to sing it I guess. I think you're right about Magni, he really did belt it out, perhaps that is the way that it should be done.

Way to go Magni. It seems like the crowd really likes him. I was hesitant at first, not sure I'm into the whole copy Ed K thing bald head and all, but do have to admit he's growing on me. I'm glad he got the encore, another chance to hear Dolphins Cry and for lives music to get more exposure. Tommy Lee was luvn it and so was I rockin.gif

Well, I don't know now damnit. I think he sounded way off tonight. Like he was trying too hard. I thought he sounded a thousand times better just doing it acoustic. I taped both performances and have listened to them both and all I can say is that to me, the encore sounded like complete shit compared to his performance the night before.

Anyhow, even way back when, I heard Ed try and give it to this tune and his voice just wasn't strong enough. But who knows, he's probably nailed it and I just haven't heard it. After all, I've heard him nail several songs over time and I've heard him absolutely butcher the same song at a different time. One thing is for sure, this song is one song that sounds better recorded than it does "live" for LIVE.

can someone pullleease vote lukas off the damn stage?!?!?! and he can take zayra~sp, the quirky spandex queen with him.... and, yes, i did say he kicked ass when i first saw the guy perform, but he now bores the shit outta me...same old emo crap.... blah.

magni kicked ass the first nite and I was so excited he got the encore, but i was so sad.gif that he was wired for it. sounded much better the nite before.

and dilana and storm give me goose bumps....love their rock star goddess thing....but I think dilana is what supernova is looking for/needs... plus, i wanna see storm back in portland, again.... wink.gif
