I also read ' you are the world' ...it was because of Ed pointing it out...and at the same point I was going through a rough period ...and man..it helped me ....it was meant to be .....atleast I think that way.......

What war did you fight in? And, just curious, do you have flashbacks? And what do you think about the "gulf war syndrome". As an former soldier, do you believe in it? surrender.gif

no flashbacks lol.gif and who said i was a "former soldier"? i could tell you about the battles i have been in, but then i'd have to kill you lol.gif

on a serious note, i have seen several friends suffer ill-effects from serving in the gulf, so yeah, it exists & it sucks

Right now I am reading Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. I started reading it after I saw the broadway show. (Excellent show, by the way.)

I haven't gotten very far, though. Right after I started reading it, I moved. So, I've been kinda busy with packing and then unpacking.

I might have to start checking out those romance novels though. I could use a little steaminess in my life. kicking.gif

I'm currently reading "PIG CITY" by ANDREW STAFFORD. is a rockumentry about the music scene in Brisbaine Queensland Australia.

it covers bands like the Saints, to regurgitator, the Go betweens and powderfinger. not that far in but so far it rocks!

Walk the Line was pretty good, too. I don't care what people say. aggressive.gif

Anyone ever hear of Singletini? I heard it's a really good book for single women to read. I wanna get my hands on a copy, but I'm kinda cheap. I just moved to Chicago, so I've been spending waaaay too much. lol.gif

I'm reading Nando Parrado's "Miracle in the Andes: 72 Days on the Mountain and My Long Trek Home". I haven't finished it yet, but up until now I'm really enjoying it. I read Piers Paul Read's "Alive", (which is also a very good book imo, very detailed), but you only really realize how horrible it most have been for them when the story is written by one of the survivers. He certainly manages to grab your attention!

That's the story about them turning to cannabalism to stay alive right. Oh man! the horror of it all. I'll say i wouldnt have done that. Not me no way no.gif . But then, I wasn't in their position, thank God! and I have never endured a day of starvation.
