i just got it in the mail....get ready is growing on me, so i was looking forward to hearing the "acoustic" version (isnt already basically acoustic on the album?)...anyway, it sounds like its the track from the dual disc....the quality is laughable. it sounds like someone put a mic up to the TV while they were watching the DVD and recorded it for the single.

it also includes the radio edit (? same track time) of the river, as well as an acoustic version.

all in all, a pretty pathetic single. maybe they could have spruced it up with something from a concert....maybe vorst (5/31/03)?? lol.gif lol.gif

i can't understand why they put "the river" out as the first single. i skip it. i go right to "mistery".

in my opinion... mistery, show, wings, sofia, where do we go from here are all WAY better than "the river".

who chooses the singles? you'd think after the album was complete, they'd all sit and listen to the album a lot and then choose the first single... i find it hard to believe they think "the river" is a "HIT".

i agree thats why i cancelled my fan club membership because i was sick of the christmas gift being another cd single of some vorst song. i emailed them and said how about a meet and great pass for a melbourne show and the said no so i said i aint renewing my membership again its not worth it . so yeah i agree

I don't understand what the problem is with the River. I think it's an awesome song worthy of being the first single. Apparently people who have a problem with the opening of it don't appreciate harmony.

The song is solid from start to finish.

Thank you Live for one of the few gems (also Mystery and Love Shines) on this album.

The rest is what I could have passed on.
