The singer from my favorite local band Lennex is one of the 15 contestants. Hopefully he doesnt win or else I wont be seeing them for awhile.

CBS announced today the names of the 15 performers for ROCK STAR: SUPERNOVA who will vie to be the new lead singer of Supernova, a new-band formed by drummer Tommy Lee (Motley Crüe) with bassist Jason Newsted (Metallica) and guitarist Gilby Clarke (Guns N' Roses).

Wow how cool to know someone that will be on the show. Weird that he is willing to give up his own band to do it though. But I guess it would be a huge deal to be the singer of that band. I will be watching for sure.

Nice....I just checked them out...good stuff. I go to Ocean City every year for vacation and I don't think I've heard of them down there. Do they play a lot in OC?

Actually they dont really play down there. Maybe a couple times a yr. They play through out MD and sometimes PA and VA.

I dont think anyone here is a Blue October fan, but a friend of theirs is one of the finalists, too.

Zayra Alvarez is her name, she sings with them on 'Come In Closer' and 'Into the Ocean'
