Well usually when a merchant lowers a price like that to get more sales, its because the item is not moving. I seriously doubt they'll sell any more copies by pricing it $3-4 cheaper. I think if you were going to buy it, you'd pay $11.99 or $12.99. The $8.99 price point won't make someone say " Hey, the new Live CD is out, and its not $11.99-$12.99! I should buy it!

Well, maybe not, I certainly don't have enough marketing knowledge in cd sales of well-known bands. I also don't know what Amazon's point system translates into in terms of units sold. All I can say is that since they lowered the price to $8.99, SFBM's placement has gone from 36 on the Top Sellers List in Alternative Rock Tuesday to 34 as of Thursday a.m.

They also raised the price to $12.99 again.

Oh.........I'm sure that if you tell them you're interested in 1,000 copies at $8.99 each, they'll be happy to sell them to you at that price. smile.gif

Well for what it's worth, the new Tool album 10,000 Days is selling for only $9 or $10 and this album comes with 3-D like lenses to view the cool pictures in the album booklet. Yet, I believe the album went platinum in like two weeks. It looks like they put a lot of work into this album, both musically and for the album packaging. I wonder why this album is selling for so cheap. I have to ask, why would Sony/Epic pick up Live and give them a record contract if they didn't plan on putting any money into them for promotion of their albums. I just don't understand. I surely thought that the American Idol was going to bring then instant success for the new album but they just let the opportunity pass them by. What's up with Sony??

I got mine the day it came out in Target for under $10.

I was shocked when I checked ticketmaster for the show in Toms River NJ........you can still get floor seats. I live all of 30 minutes away from Toms River and only heard the concert advertised on the radio 2 times.

It's all about the way you promote.
