Krusen had to drop out; that was announced several weeks back. Nothing negative, he just had some conflicts with his schedule. Gerken has been a friend of Shinn's for years and has played with him before in the past.

I wouldn't say it's a horrible song, it's just not executed all that well. It's not my cup of tea sonically. The underwater/drowning guitar effect combined with the non-stop pulsating bass lines just doesn't digest all that well.

I wonder what it would sound like if that guitar part was a clean/pristine tone with a mix of arpeggios and licks with delay effects thrown in. Maybe swap out the fuzz effects on the bass for a more raw, dirtier/grittier stripped back tone.

But you know what they say. "You know nothing, Jon Snow."
