QUOTE(sandkind @ Jun 18 2006, 6:00 pm) *

i certainly don't think Bush is perfect but i do have a great deal of respect for the man. Abraham Lincoln was VERY unpopular in his day and would have NEVER won a reelection, yet history now recognizes him as the best president to ever serve this country. yeah, i'll get torched for comparing Bush to him, but anyone who has really studied TRUE history can see the similarities.

I'm speechless.

Perhaps some of the military guys have respect for Bush, but nobody else does. He will go down as the worst president in US history, mark my words.

And musicians have just as much right as anyone else to spew their views. They're people, too.

of course you have a right to your opinions, as do musicians. the whole thing started because a lot of folks, like me, don't care to listen to entertainers political views regardless of what they are, it just gets old (for me, anyway). but i must respectfully disagree with you on our worst president. regardless of what anyone thinks of Bush, my fellow Georgian Jimmy Carter is directly responsible for much of the current situation in the middle east. His dealings with the shah and especially Khomeni really fucked us up. Khomeni should have never been allowed asylym in France. He vowed to return to Iran and he did. the rest has been downhill. i like and support Live, i just don't agree with their politics and don't care to hear ed compare traveling on tour with what a soldier feels when he don't have a clue. that's just my opinion. of course, none of his political songs have been a hit yet. eyebrow.gif

White, Discussion was vaguely political.

It's still played on rock radio here in Phoenix.

Great post! thumbsup.gif Agreed about Jimmy Carter and I also am a fellow Georgian (Duluth). I feel that he was a good, moral man but was too much of a pacifist to do what needed to be done and we are paying the consequences for it now. Everything in your post wraps up exactly the way I feel. I never said entertainers couldn't be political. I just said that I don't like it.

Seriously, quit being nice you gimp. Lets fight some more. Aren't you having fun you dumbass shithead?

Boards are boring without shitslinging. Like Beau, he gets this place going good simply because he's dumber then a 2 by 4. Mets calls people ass clowns.

And me? I'm just here to piss every single one of you shitheads off. rockin.gif
