Rolling Stone's Andy Greene reached out to Chad Taylor, really, I mean REALLY?

Did Andy Greene from Rolling Stone just magically reach out to Chris Shinn in November 2022 too?

Chad Gracey is violent and harasses people? That's some Pinocchio BS is ever I've heard it.

If Chad Taylor has nothing to hide, then why keep financials hidden from Chad Gracey?

Who cares what a person's political persuasion is?

Americans are so soft when it comes to politics, they get butt hurt offended.

Americans want to shame their fellow countrymen purely because of whether they voted Dem or Rep as it goes against their personal views/opinions.

Wake up and smell Ed's coffee, the fans continue to only hear one side of the story.

I feel the courts will present a very different take on things once all the evidence is put on the table.

I see no reason why both of the following can't be true:

1) Bill Hynes is a serial white-collar criminal with a penchant for lying, self-dealing, and bilking people out of their money, to say nothing of his pattern of criminal assault (including sexual assault).

2) Chad Taylor is a serial asshole with a penchant for lying and self-dealing (I'll stop short of bilking people out of their money, but it seems at least possible), to say nothing of his pattern of criminal assault.

It seems almost impossible to me that either guy would be completely absolved of even a fraction of the accusations levied against them, both in this article and related writings. Two bad people got into business together and the fall-out is happening before our eyes.

Sadly, the collateral damage of all this is that my favorite childhood band is fractured, probably permanently. It does make me happy that Chad, Chad, and Pat are making some money off the current lineup touring. They are after all the creators of the music I love, even if one or more of them is a monumental prick. Plus, the fact that they are all still in some business together related to the band keeps the faintest hope alive that one day the original lineup will again tour together. Although, at this point, that might be akin to trying to re-build a burnt down house with the ashes.

well stated. Live is over, and has been for years to me. That 717EP was awful, I prefer to remember "my" Live as the first four albums and The Turn.

Gracey voted for Trump in 2020. Mmmmmmmmhm.

I would classify that as voting against the media propped up version of Biden more than voting for Trump. There may be people who genuinely believe the shit that comes out of Trump's mouth, but before the pandemic which torpedoed the economy Trump never would have lost that 2020 bid for re-election. For whatever that's worth.

I only say any of this to say that if Gracey deserves criticism it's not for his political views. People need to get over the fact that he might not be the far-left progressive woke-boi most 90s bands were/are. But more importantly... people just need to keep the fucking political tribalism out of this, regardless of what your views are. No one has a monopoly on being One Hundred Percent Right On Every Issue.

That is the biggest heap of bullshit I have ever read. First, the RS story reeks of having been commissioned and there is nothing that could convince me otherwise. Second, we’re gonna throw Gracey’s name in for harassment and violence? Seriously? I’ve never met any of the members of Live but I’ve been a fan for a long, long time. In all of those years, I’ve never seen anything negative said about him - except that he’s a Republican and ya’ll need to get over that - so I find it hard to believe. I mean, you never know people but still …… And, for that to be posted on social media …. SMH

In some cases possibly, but still, that doesn't excuse actively enabling Trump. On top of which, I feel like Gracey supported/voted for him in 2016 so the Biden factor is minimized? Pinch of salt on that, though. Can't remember if it's an established thing or something I've just inferred.

I've no real issue with him moving from the left to the right as he's gotten older (if indeed he has), I understand that it's a path many people walk (even those who haven't earned loads of money along the way). But it's specifically supporting Trump. That's just another level entirely.

As for keeping the political tribalism out of this, well... I get you, but then we're already well beyond the music and wading waist deep in he-said-she-said garbage anyway. At this point things that speak to their character, honesty, basic decency... it's all relevant. Gracey and Thrillingsworth have shown themselves to be perfectly happy insulting fans, swimming around in conspiracy theories and aligning themselves with a political movement which is the absolute epitome of post-truth insanity. So while I've no doubt CT is himself full of shit, nobody should take Gracey and Thrillton at face value. You'd have to be an idiot, frankly.

We heard the stories that the energy was back when they got back together, but never saw anything 2016 related.

It reminds me of that 16/17 NYE gig. I knew the old LIVE wouldn’t return, but there was definately a renewed energy on stage that night. In 1 or 2 years it was gone tho. Not only 717 was the proof, the fact they didn’t took every chance of celebrating TC25 made it quite clear too.

That Bill might be suspected of a lot of things, but at least we got this video!

Ps. Chad Gracey, Trump voter (really), but that man is one hell of a drummer. Can’t say that enough.
