Reading CT’s reminiscing of Līve has made me feel all sorts of weird.
I am quite confused by his tactics.

CT looks like a guy whose wife wants to divorce him and is fighting for full custody of the kids.
The guy then tries to show everybody he was a good husband and dad, posting pics of the goods times they had.

He probably is too. Has to be hard for CT knowing that he squeezed Ed out to take control of the band only to bring him back and eventually end up on the outside. I'd imagine he's thinking "how the hell did that happen?".

Will there be any opening acts?

Opening act is Soundgarden, but no Chris Cornell for obvious reasons and none of the original band members.

None of the original members? That's so whack.

Longtime lurker (live-web OG) and very infrequent poster here. I haven’t been on the site in over a year. Now that I’m caught up just want to thank everyone for the entertainment for the last two hours.

Let me just predict that Ed will never tour again with the original members. This is just the way these things go.

As a die hard fan I pretty much moved on from Live when it quickly became clear the reunion was a cash grab. For all the talk of lifelong friends, can anyone here actually imagine having to be friends with the same people you knew from middle school. Just doesn’t happen. I’m in no one’s camp on all the dysfunction. At this point the only potential saving grace would be if Ed pulled out some deep cuts on his tour, but history tells us there’s less than a 00.01% chance of that happening.

Fingers crossed I come back in another year and I get good old tantalizing entertainment on the old Web 1.0.

PS. Can’t believe I remembered my password.

I was an avid Live-Web lurker back in the day, too (as well as Jimmy Lang's Straight Outta York email digest before that). If I remember correctly, the creator of Live-Web (Jim, I think?) pretty abruptly called it quits when V came out, saying something simple like "I don't like this style of music" and then just seemed to move on. I think back to that moment a lot, given how much time and energy I've spent hoping that some new release out of them would move me even a fraction of the amount the DOAD-TDTH albums did.

I'm happy for any fan that has enjoyed some or all of the post TDTH output, so I don't mean to be a downer, but with the way things seem to have completely unraveled with this band (and re-raveled and unraveled again?) it's hard not to get a little somber about how things panned out. I really thought they'd be able to bust out Mental Jewelry together as a band in their 70's, as Ed dreamed about back in "Live, Past, Present and Future."

It would seem like that, but who knows with this mess of a band. For all we know, CT decided to screwed CG and PD over by giving Ed permission to tour as Live without them and Ed jumped at the chance. If he still has his 30% stake, he could do that.

Nothing would surprise me at this point.

CT already screwed CG and PD over by screwing Ed over. Ed may have been pissed at CG and PD for going along with it, but I imagine he's far more pissed at CT. I don't know why he'd work with CT just to screw over CG and PD. Makes no sense, and I assume Ed is smarter than that. If he really wanted to get back at CT, even if just on principle, the best course would be to keep the band moving forward with CG and PD.

Yeah, but he isn't doing that as far as I can tell. He's gone on tour as Live without any of them, despite apparently needing at least one of them to agree to it. That makes little sense either.

Maybe they have agreed to it since they can’t tour yet for legal reasons?

This is possible. It’s also possible that Gracey didn’t know what he was signing when Ed asked for him to vote CT out of the band. It’s entirely possible Ed tricked Gracey into giving him control, and knowing Gracey, it seems like he’s never admit publicly that he got swindled.

Then why say the other members aren’t available for this concert? Would’ve made more sense just not to mention. Most casual fans don’t care.
