This one breaks me.

I saw that. It sounds more like petty squabbling between CCP when you read that than the other shit that some were saying it was. Not that this other bullshit between CT and CG isn't true, but even if it is true it could have been embellished by others.

What Ed said actually kinda lines up with what Chris Shinn said about them a while back on that Rockonomics podcast. Where he basically said they were stuck in their early 20s as far as their level of maturity is concerned. He also called them bullying assholes. And if someone else happens to be gaslighting them on that? Well here you go.

Sounds like something Tad Chaylor would say. hi.gif

Gettin’ real out there: from chad gracey
For anyone interested.....Ed is not the problem in this band....and its not this Chad.....and he doesnt' play bass. We have among us a person that stirs and then, no pun intended, sells drama. I could list what he has done to me personally but I wont except to say this....I didn't play drums on Local 717. It was Robin Diaz. The "producer" lied to me about what was happening with it and then lied to everyone else about why I "couldn't play" on that EP. Then I was coerced manipulated into playing along like it didn't happen. This is indicative of what has been going on in this band for a long time.......Ed IS NOT the problem!

Didn't Ed just say he's doing great and we should keep an eye out for stuff he's doing in the future?

Now he's saying he can't tour and hasn't picked up a guitar in years cause he's depressed, and that he's finished.

Totally flip flopping over here.

Also, why would Pat not be talking to Ed or Gracey?

With the lawsuit, wasn't the complaint about Ed selling live performances on his website, and for using the name Live on a poster, or something like that?

Why would the guys sue him now that CCP have buried the hatchet, especially if he just uses the name Ed Kowalczyk and doesn't sell the performance tracks on his website?

He posted several comments on IG today that come across as he’s worried about potentially getting sued by any of the three.

So when Ed comments, it sounds as if he blames all 3.
Gracey and Hynes blame Chad Taylor. shrug.gif

Might be why CG came out and publicly apologized for any role he may have played in making people think EK stole money from them. Like he's trying to bridge whatever rift between EK and himself may exist.

Wow what the hell is happening last few weeks.

And last 15 years, btw.

If anyone told me in 2007 what was to come, I would have laughed hard - very hard - in his or her face, saying ‘these are friends since childhood, this band might end, in 20 years and might fade out when they are old, but they’ll keep the original four and won’t have crazy break ups like some other bands.’

The thing is: I really thought so. Ah well.

Did you ever think the photo was lifted from a post by a moderator who took the photo to another FB page to repost?

The rift may be unilateral and was indicated on this mirror fb group that the issue wasn’t with a 4string player or cymbal basher

Good catch on the “insights”. Someone has to be a moderator on that site

I’ve had some major changes in my life due to my health, the passing of my father (last week) and so much more. The band Live meant a great deal to me and from what I remember I used to be very active in the online community. If I ever dealt with someone in a negative way I ask for your forgiveness. Below is a post I made on Facebook, just know I left the online community for mental health preservation. Nothing but love for anyone who reads this post:

Seeing all the noise today and thought I would just share my thoughts. My connection to this band goes back pretty far, those who know me can vouch for that. The memories I created with this band, the friendships I made and even the not so great times shaped me.

The music of this band has been more important in the past couple of years as I’m still recovering from a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Listening to the music has brought back some of the memories I thought I’d lost forever.

Live will forever hold a place in my heart as the band that my late best friend introduced me to in 1991. I enjoyed the ride from there up to the end for me which was The Turn.

I decided to back away from the subsequent reunion and the drama as it was better for my own mental self preservation. For me the ride was over a few years ago. If this is how it ends for everyone else, trust me life is full of lots of music to fill your soul.

For those I met along the way I send you love and know that our times shared mean the world to me (even though some I’m still trying to retrieve). The music will never whither, as I’ve passed on my love for it to my own kids. They share it with their friends, keeping it out there for at least another generation. Sure it hurts that the band you love is gone, but appreciate what once was and believe me it was great.
