The guitarist of Live is the Yoko ono of Live. He caused the band to break up the first time. With false allegations against Ed. He’s a narcissist, bloviating pathological liar that gaslighted Gracey and Dahlheimer over the years.
Back during the first breakup Taylor showed Gracey, PD and I “evidence” about Ed. But it was all fabricated and spun. But I didn’t know Ed at all at that time. I was supporting my friends.
After the band got back together in 2016, I got to know Ed and it was quickly apparent who the problem was. Further, I personally apologized to Ed regarding the comments I made and my actions during the first breakup. I was man enough to admit to him that I was wrong for just going along for the Chad Taylor ride and just assumed what he said was true.
Taylor, has jealousy issues. He needed to take credit for writing songs he just didn’t write. He would embellish numbers and tell people his band sold over 30 million albums and made 1.2 billion dollars. All false. He found is necessary to sleep with one bandmates wife and also find it necessary to get drunk and punch another bandmates wife at the Baltimore Marriott hotel. In front of many people I might add. In both situations he actually blamed their wives. “She made me F her” and “she made me hit her”.

many of the current fans complain way too much, have a sense of entitlement. Heck, I think some feel they should have the bands social security numbers, credit score and blood types. Nothing lasts forever. Enjoy what the band previously gave you. Anyone that thinks the band should “work out their differences” are extremely selfish. If your coworker and best friend banged your wife or punched your wife in the face. Are you working that out? To expect them to put differences aside and work together is ignorant on your part. They will need to process and heal on their own time. And that time may never happen.
It’s great that people want to read news articles and pass judgment prior to a person having their day in court. People did the same thing to Johnny Depp. It’s society I guess.
But the Alan Hambys, Cindy’s, Brett Grubergs of the world like to think they can anonymously post and talk crap about someone. Heck even Chad Taylor has fake accounts on here singing his own praises and starting crap. He’s that type of narcissist.
Someone just posted the blog post he wrote in 2004. That post alone tells you what a sick and sad soul that man is. Hopefully he finds a tall building and jumps off of it and finishes his thought.
And I’m sure Tad Chaylor will read this. Ed don’t need you, Gracey don’t need you and Dahlheimer don’t need you and I certainly never needed you. The fact of the matter is, you needed all of us more than we needed you. You had four guys who would have moved mountains for you.
You sabotaged friendships of four men who actually truly cared and loved you.
I guess that’s easy to do when you don’t love yourself.

Come on Bill, he doesn't even know how to play it, how can he ask to have a bonus fee. Looks like it's the end. So their 2 last good albums (The turn and Gracious Few) are not even available on Spotify. What a legacy! I moved on, discover and rediscover other good bands. That drama is completely childish. It happens only because there's no new music. They did a cash tour in 2018-19 and it's as simple as that.

Chad Taylor is a very talented musician. I won’t and you shouldn’t take that away from him. He’s come up with some iconic riffs and parts of many songs. I was blessed to hear things most fans would never hear come from his guitar as there were many times I sat in on him practicing.
It’s too bad he didn’t work on his friendships as hard as he worked on his craft.

Baltimore Indy car race was 2013. Live with Shinn performed. It was after that show at the Marriott bar. Regardless of the year. And how long ago it was. It happened. The infidelity part was recently found out by his fellow band member. Meaning in 2021 it was discovered.

Taylor will not give a statement, it might incriminate his whole existence, but in his own mind, he's the victim. He doesn't consider how he's victimized so many over the years. And that is what is off-center of self.

Well, Bill was convicted of a felony related to check-kiting scheme in 2009. If that's true, then it wouldn't be wrong to say he did some criminal stuff.

As for the new trial - we will see. I won't say either way right now, but it seems like there's alot of different charges against him. The last thread was shut down about Bill's pending charges, we wanna make sure Bill has a fair day in court, but again we will see.


As for Taylor - nobody is admonishing him right now. But you're basically condemning him without hearing his side of the story. If history proves anything on this message board - we have to wait to hear the rest before we make a decision. We tend to side against Bill because he has a history of lashing out and criminal acts, and we have no idea why Live ever had to get involved with him in the first place.

For what it’s worth, I noticed that Ed unfollowed the rest of the band on IG and this is a recent change, perhaps to emphasize that he’s not in anyone’s band.

For him to still be friends with harasser and felon Bill Hynes both surprises and super disappoints me. To quote Bremang, Bill Hynes is the Yoko Ono of Līve!

A friend and I were talking today and he thinks if Līve ever continues, it will be with Loy on guitar.

Ed is super confusing, and has been this whole ordeal. Is he angry at all of them, and why?

Cindy, I take it you have never listened to one Live song, not truly understand the message and meaning behind those songs. If you did, you would be more like Ed who would never judge someone without having all of the facts.
I believe you can ask many Live fans how I have treated them over the years. Many will say very well. Sure, some may say I was an A-Hole and I probably was, but some fans were too entitled and expected things and asked for things that were just beyond what I could do for them.

To his defense. He always said he wasn’t a solo guitarist and preferred to not do them. He would say he was more of the rhythm guitar. In TGF he had Memphis doing the solos. When Zak Loy came on board he had Zak do some.

sure, but he was the lead guitar of a rock band....after the sound masterwork of Secret Samadhi, I was expecting he would make that extra step. Of course, Radioactive had other plans regarding the tracklisting and all, but I was expecting more of it as the band evolves. But yes, he created some sick riffs, and TGF will always be a good sample of it he was responsible for most of it.
