Here is a snippet from Chad Taylor's blog where he listed the many recordings Live has made over the

Just read the whole thing for the first time in years. It really remains a great read for true LIVE fans and too bad we never saw that book Chad was writing.

His post back then makes me release how many unheard material was written and recorded in the TDTH and V days. Many dics full of songs we never get to hear (while it included Ed’s best lyrics or writing, according to Ed).
Also I’m disapointed there seems to be hundreds of hours of video capturing the band writing, creating and recording MJ and TC and we got literally zero of that during the rereleases in 2017 and 2019. I mean, that band doesn’t need to share anything, and it’s nice we got the outtakes - although we already knew them - but that video footage... damn, THAT’s what LIVE fans would die for to see. But I guess the band probably don’t want fans to see it and it’s their right, ofcourse.

I for one want to see at least a cd with some of the church box stuff plus demos of gas hed and lakinis juice. Those were not done I. That session but at the former Chamleon Club

And whatever led to 717 being done over the gems they did in 2016 I’ll never know

They boys better make a decision and get that stuff out to the fans.

I’ve spoken to certain few on it, but I’m just a fan.

Shit we should have gotten a live bootleg site to pay for shows to download. Like live phish.
That idea fell on deaf ears but it would have been great during the pandemic.

Did you receive yours already?? It's a good price for that package! The video content is the real winner for me if I were to get that. I doubt I would nab it, though. The music discs are pretty flat with content. A bunch of concert performances. Ride the rail fans love those! Metallica didn't hold back any studio tracks when they originally released this album, so there are no outtakes or alternate tracks, only riffs and alt mixes. Still, I believe this box set is not 100% complete in studio tracks. The Japanese version had included the cover, "So What." I do not see that track included in this box set, but that makes sense since they do not own that track...

Metallica own all their masters. That right there gives them 100% free reign on content selection. Metallica own their own record label and their own pressing plant. Everything is self-contained. That is why they can offer so much content at such a nice price.

I did get the anniversary package from Guns N' Roses for Appetite For Destruction. A deal like no other!

IPB Image

The Appetite For Destruction: Super Deluxe Edition features 4CDs including the album newly remastered for the first time ever; B-sides N’ EPs newly remastered; the previously unreleased 1986 Sound City Session N’ More recordings; a Blu-ray Audio disc with the album, bonus tracks and music videos in brand new 5.1 surround sound along with the unearthed music video for “It’s So Easy” originally shot in 1989 but never finished; and a 96-page hardcover book showcasing unseen photos from Axl Rose’s personal archive and wealth of memorabilia. In addition, the Super Deluxe Edition contains collectables like never-before-seen band lithos, replica concert tickets, a wall poster, temporary band member tattoos , a Robert Williams painting litho, and a replica “Welcome To The Jungle” video shoot invite flyer originally drawn by Slash.

Simulated-Leather Wrapped Slipcase and Book Cover with Embossed GN’R Logos

Retail price: $99
Sale Price: $49

They were sold out for a long time but have restocked and are honoring the sale price. I got mine a few years ago when they first started the sale.

So we're now officially less than 2 months from the 25th anniversary of the album.
Can't believe how time flies.

It's okay if they skip it, right?

They can just wait another two years and do the TDTH/SS anniversary together.
