Trying to Find Info on a Show Options

Speaking of Live shows in 1998, they did something similar when they came to Seattle that year to play Bumbershoot in that they played a "secret show" at a super hip club called the Crocodile Cafe the night before the main event, but there is proof it existed: Me lol

I found out when the DJ on the local alternative radio station was hinting about it, so I called them and they told me where to go. IIRC you had to win tickets, so I took a friend and we bribed our way in. Cash is king, after all.

I was front row center and it was one of the best shows (Live or otherwise) I've ever been to. Live was on fire that night and, as far as I was concerned, on top of the world.

Don’t think there has been a setlist with more rare songs and deep cuts being played than this show. Maybe it was a bit shorter than their setlists post 2000, but it doesn’t matter. Any fan would go nuts, especially considering LIVE in that specific era. Damn.

Ok, since it was clarified that the 930 Club show was 2001, these were the sets being used in that part of the calendar. I will list the 98 stuff too as there is record of it. I do not see a record of that secret show in my lists.

I can swear that i remember video footage from a show with this (or similar) setlist. And it was shot from a balcony in a small club. I perfectly remember wfg (the one with the massive intro and stomping Chad) and a couole of other tracks. I may uave the vid somewhere in my cd archive. Too bad, i have no place to check it. Yeah, international shipping is a killer. I recently purchased a cassette tape from eBay. I was charged US $20.15 for postage to Australia. And it still took over a month to get here!

I'm sure USB DVD drives are available in a local store in Russia.

Thanks for the answers. I guess my years were off. It seems the 2001 show is it. I am just annoyed. That I cannot remember too much about this show when all their other shows are vivid in my head.

If you go into the "Multimedia" forum and search for 2001 then you will find a few shows from that year. There are setlists that will give you a general idea of what was played. However it looks like this 9:30 Club show was a special one so the setlist may have differed from the usual.

saw a similar show at the stone pony in 1997 or 1998. they also played the alternative version (big band version) of tsufl that was awesome.

Live did play the same venue in 1997, however it was a few days prior to the release of Secret Samadhi so they wouldn't have played the big bang version of TSUFL.

They played don’t wait, new city, still aroused, and change (all songs that didn’t make the cut for Ss). It was definitely the Big Bang version.

Those songs didn't make the cut for The Distance to Here. They were all played in 1998 and could have appeared on TDTH but for Ed's trip to the desert which resulted in a new direction for the album.

Correct. I misspoke with the album. My point was it was the Big Bang version. The final track listing must not have been done when that show happened. They played songs that didn’t make it along with a different version of tsufl.

Of all the Live albums, The Distance To Here (along with Secret Samadhi) definitely have the most amount of studio outtakes, alternate edits, alternate arrangements, and unreleased studio tracks. There were a lot of "working" and "in progress" mixes to take home from their studio dailies.
