The question is, when will we hear from Ed?

Is this the longest point in Live's history that he has dropped off the map?

I think grandfalloon verified this a few days ago.

If one considers Live as the only entity playing onstage. (Ed, Shinn), then it's not.

As that open performance span would be 34 months.

But Live, Ed Solo and Gracious Few performing on the calendar from those 2009-2012 yrs. It would be.

...but "heard from Ed" could also include social media, I suppose. I don't use social media anymore, so someone else may be able to answer this specific part better.

I am quite sure this is the longest we have not heard from Ed on social media. Even longer than the dry spell before their reunion. Which was more like May- November. But if you count the January Seshin thing from January, it’s about the same.

Ed's last shows before the reunion were March 2016, he updated his FB to include of Live in Nov 2016.
Official reunion announcement was Dec 2016.

Ed's last social media post was January 2021, he did some virtual shows late last year as well.

The difference is that there were positive feelings of a potential reunion in 2016. Right now it's looking like the potential end of the band.

That's total speculation and heresay on your part. Just because Ed's silent and you're jonesing for him doesn't mean it's the end of anything.

They could still be together, but the silence, not working on new music, and the cancelling of shows just paints a not positive picture for me.

In the auction livestream, Chad G said they had a light 2020 planned and all the bands going out now are doing rescheduled 2020 tours. Live was planning to write a new record but that didn't happen. Live has stuff planned for 2022, and may do some things toward the end of 2021.

Chad is in York. Talked to Chat T and Pat while in town. Spoke to Ed yesterday on his birthday.

Chad "did not like the second drummer thing."

Live backed out of Aftershock because they were going to play the Arizona State Fair the next day, but the fair got cancelled.

Thanks for watching the auction. I tried accessing the app but didn't have any luck. Is that where Chad appeared? How long was he online? Any chance of a recording? 😁 Were there many people online asking questions? Did the drumset get sold? If so, how much for and who purchased it ?

I’m still wondering where Ed is and I’m worried. Has he become a recluse?
Even Pat, PAT!!!, made a recent IG post about playing bass on a rainy day.

I have tried to see if there is a correlation between the UFD lawsuit and Ed’s disappearance. Seems it was first in the news October 2020 and Ed went silent after January 2021, so I don’t know if the two fit.

In all seriousness, what can we as fans do to reach out to him? Contact Hardin Bourke entertainment? Start a “Missing Ed Kowalczyk” podcast just like Richard Simmons fans when he was missing?
Is he ever spotted out and about, like at the grocery store? Hard to believe he doesn’t have fans in that area who would post a pic if they randomly met him. I know he’s always been pretty private, but 7-8 months is a long time to just sit in the house, unless he has truly become a recluse. What is he doing professionally during this hiatus?

The last thing I recall was the interview for the Secret Samadhi weed release. Ed did say during that interview that he was looking at 2022 as the time when concerts would return.

I agree with all that you said.

Last summer/fall Ed was talking about his new msic, and getting back on the road. Then it all just stopped. I hope that he is okay and in a good place.
