Excellent find clemons. It looks like Ed was testing the waters but didn't really put the effort into expanding upon it. Maybe killed during covid 19? Anyway, this is the closest thing to new music by live we have for 2021.

If I follow this correctly here is a timeline of what happened:

Sometime in 2018 or 2019 Ed creates the persona of Goose Blackstone

Sometime more recently he posts a song online under the above persona, and it’s a good song

Recently a Live fan connects this song and persona to Ed and shares here (good find by the way!)

As discussion of Goose and the song take place here the online posting is removed


To me I’m just as surprised the song was pulled the same time it got notice here. Perhaps some of the powers that be take scope of the board more than we know.

I think I've listened to this about 30 times now already (haha!) its great to hear Ed again with something new - missed hearing that voice! The song does suit him & is an easy song to listen to.
I thinks it lacks something though - doesn't have a big note or "moment" to really hook you into it (hopefully working with a good producer will add these things) but it's a relaxing, cruisey number & just finally good to hear something new! Fingers crossed more is to come!

All I can say is: this is the best Ed solo song to my money. I was impressed by this one much more than I was with Zion when it had been released. And I loved Zion, I must say.

Not that I can listen to his other solo efforts though hehe

What I read was that you can petition to revive the application within 60 days of the notice of abandonment. However, in an “intent to use” trademark application, once the application has been allowed, the applicant must file a statement of use within 36 months. If you have passed 36 months, then your application will not be revivable.
