I watched parts of the interview. I couldn't take much because the Swami guy looks like a rodent when he talks and the couple is just strange.

What I got out of it:

- Ed likes pot and believes Swami has good stuff
- The band hasn't really communicated with each other during Covid
- Ed currently has no interest or inspiration in creating new music
- Ed was planning on touring a bunch before Covid and that's the plan when they can do so again
- When you put it together Ed sounds very content on making money on touring as a nostalgia act

Here it goes, pointing the finger at Ed again.
It takes ALL FOUR OF THEM. Maybe the problem lies on the other guys shoulders too.
Ed was very active musically & interacting with fans BEFORE rejoining Līve. Then he changed. It is WEIRD.

That ain't true, everyone here knows all of these guys are in the same boat. Ed spoke for himself and I'm just summarizing what I heard him say. Pat and Chad G weren't there and I didn't listen to anything Chad said.

The inaction of this band as a whole speaks for itself.

I could go for a new Live song myself.

“This year has been interesting, because we said, ‘OK, we did two big U.S. tours in a row, we need to, you know… we’ve only made an EP [since the reunion].’ So we thought ‘It’s time for a new album,'” Kowalczyk said. “This was the year that we decided not to take a summer tour, because we’ve been going so hard and wanted it to be a creative year to focus on writing.”

So if they decide to not work on an album this year, and they return to touring in 2022, then what?!

SS outtakes in 2022?

If you have suddenly forgotten it, the frontman is the face of the band. That is why he is called the FRONTman, he FRONTS it. I could very well remind you that hardly anyone (apart from this forum or the die-hards) know that there are other people in the band except for the one with the bold head and huge eyes (and the beard as of sometimes).

Above that let me remind you that a multiplatinum billboard-hacking-very-fucking-popular-back-in-the-days band suddenly went downhill and it was very fast and brutal. And the guys are grown-up men (hell, they are nearly old!) who got used to a certain lifestyle. And suddenly it all starts vanishing.

And then the one without the hair leaves.

10 years after I can not blame him for that. He did it for the money. HE did everything for the money. However as the popularity faded, the number of his kids grew and he (as a proper dad) wanted to provide them with a proper life. Well done, Ed! I used to blame him for quitting, now I understand him.

When the band started off with Chris, they were doomed to lose even more audience.

So now, as they might have wished to bring the bald one back to have a tour and get the money back, I can also understand them. And him. But without him it would not have been possible.

SO yes. We can blame Ed for everything.

Even for writing your favourite songs.

Skipped through the opening ten minutes then closed the video, highlight was the weed guy saying he missed Live's early output because he was meditating in the Himalayas and then reacting to Insomnia &THITU like it was some kind of fresh cut.

I love Ed. I love his big eyes and bald head. I love his words, his poetry, (even though he doesn’t claim here to be a poet). He’s an excellent frontman. I don’t need your lesson on what a frontman is. sarcasm.gif I’m sure you are also aware that you don’t even have to have the best singing voice to carry a band to stardom. Having an excellent frontman with an average voice is enough to get you there. However, a frontman and the captain of the band are two different things. Chad T. is the captain of this band. However, we cannot point the finger at just him either. Pat has been off the grid fishing. Chad G. is ??? Take some time off during the pandemic to be a family man, fine. But it has been a YEAR. If you love your profession, you are going to start missing it. The only glimmer I’ve seen so far of missing what they do is from Chad T. Something is going on with the dynamic of all four of them together. They’re doing it for money? Fine. Then do it to the best of your ability to make the most money that you can. That just can’t ride on one person’s shoulders. They want to be just a touring band? Fine, but you better put on the best tour you can. And I’m sorry, that last tour with Bush was half-assed. No blaming just the frontman for that.

I do hope that Ed's solo album comes out in 2021. I'm not sure if there is any red tape with the reunion regarding solo music or solo touring. I would imagine there must be on some level.

Hmmm, is it really that different from when he was solo and filming himself playing Face and Ghost etc in his living room? Guess he's just not interested these days.

I also remember a silent night video... there was more than one. I'm not sure I buy his reasoning. Kids/covid/life, sure ok. but "interacting via video isn't my thing" doesn't hold much water.
