Although I am an Atheist, I am pleased to see Ed is an actual Christ Christian, and not a Republican "Christian". You can't follow Jesus and be right wing, never the twain shall meet.

He was never any sort of Christian

Ed and Moby performing now. Hard Time Killing Floor Blues (Skip James cover, I think). Definitely not what I expected.

I have to scroll backwards to -33:05 to get to it - which is where his statement just prior to the performance starts.

I've downloaded the full concert from YouTube and extracted the Ed Kowalczyk / Moby portion.

Thanks Dangum, you're always on top of things! Big part of the reason this is a great board.

Wish we'd see more diversity like this from the whole band itself. Knowing that Ed has mentioned he's been working on a side project, and the fact he's recorded a few other bluesy tunes, I wonder if this song is part of it. Hopefully that comes out soon like Ed indicated.

If anyone makes an MP3 of just the song I'd love the file if you don't mind sharing.

Yeah, thanks Dan!

Could be very well out of a collection with more songs, the thing also looks like a professional recording. Although I guess the colab with Moby must be for the Biden thing. Ed also looks quite different in the message he spoke before the song, so the recording might be from months back

All I can focus on is that rogue, giant hair hanging down from the right side of his face.

Great observation! The two videos definitely were not recorded around the same time. Could be part of that project.

lol.gif I think it is caught in the headphones and not coming out of his face.

Didn’t have high expectations, but love the cause. I’m relieved, it wasn’t too bad. Better than his solo, contemporary stuff for sure. Whatever blues pick this is, it works for him.

That doesn't really track, considering it was his going happy clappy that wrecked the band's music and popularity in the first place. They sold far more records when he was pretending to be a mystic.
