So you're saying Squirrel Nut Zippers are the better band

How about comparing Live to their tour mates Bush. Since parting with Live after the tour:

- Multiple online videos during the shutdown, including how to play songs and small acoustic performances
- New Album (which is amazing)
- Multiple music videos
- Almost daily online posts through social media
- Register to vote campaign
- Multiple live full band concert broadcasts to support the new album

These are two very comparable bands in terms of age and fan demographics. One of the bands from the 25th anniversary tour is out there working hard to connect and get their music out there. The other is Live, but hey - there's a podcast with one of the members coming soon.

Amen, AMEN, and can Hoodstock get another Amen?

I’ve been feeling dejected as a Līve fan since I saw Bush blow our boys off the stage July of 2019. Clearly, Bush is the better band right now.

what's the point in comparing activity between bands. There's 100 million active rock bands, it's got nothing to do with Live

This sounds a little shill-ish.
Bremang, I’m disappointed.

Lol. Criticism has to be based upon something or else you’re irrational.

You're one who pointed out Līve is better than Squirrel Nut Zipper, I gave you a reasonable comp.

Fun Fact: Since Live reunited in 2016 (yes, it's been that long) both Bush (one original member) and Stone Temple Pilots (new lead singer in November of 2017) have released two full length albums. You can catch them together with Līve (one EP over two years ago) when the Under the Southern Stars series is rescheduled.

Not a criticism, just facts.

Live has been incredibly inactive, and disengaged, since the reunion. It’s remarkable in any terms, both in absolute terms or comparison versus other bands.

Well, they've toured and promoted their tours, and they released an EP, so I'm not sure I'd say, "incredibly inactive." They are less productive and inspired than I had hoped. Maybe that will change and cg.JPG will be the harbinger of new Live music.

They’ve released 5 songs and played the same ~15 songs on tour. That’s incredible inactive.

Yeah, not really trying to argue but I still disagree. I think not touring and/or releasing anything since the reunion would be incredibly inactive. What you describe is just "less than we want." Dont get me wrong, I'd prefer more from them too. I'm so tired of recycled Live.

They released an EP, went on two summer long large scale tours in the US, toured Europe and Australia a few times, and played I would say over 30 songs over that span.

Yes, we would want a full album, but Live has been active. I personally am happy that I have gotten to see a lot of great shows from 2017-2020. I'm hoping for more in 2021.

I’m sorry, but you’re wrong. They have done the bare minimum.

You've gotta love the YouTube recommendation engine.

A video appeared in my feed called "Ben Folds Apartment Requests #14". Interesting. I click on it and it's Ben Folds in his apartment, with a keyboard, mixer, guitar and computer. There's a chat window running as well. Ben is performing his music as well as other various covers as well as talking about general stuff. Taking requests from the chat window. It runs for over an hour. I take a look at his upload history and he's done 14 of them in the past few months.

Live has wasted a great opportunity. There was a time where everybody was stuck inside - it was a chance to connect with their fans. So many other musicians did so, yet Live squandered it. Oh well.

Cool find. A lot of musicians were taking advantage of the opportunity.

Serious questions
1. Would solo Ed have taken advantage of this time?
2. Would Live (with Shinn) taken advantage of this time?
