Does anyone remember a Live tv concert back in the 2001-2006 range which was broadcasted at some point in that time range or possibly later on Directv and possibly other tv providers (on one of the concert channels back then like the 101/ Audience Network or VH1 Live etc.). I can remember the concert in my head, but when I pick various songs that I know were played I cant find any of the videos on YouTube (after scrolling through many many videos). This was a full edited concert with end credits etc. If this was truly a broadcasted tv concert (from a previous time) it would show up somewhere. I had it dvr’d for years, but had to change out my directv receiver and so I lost it. I thought the concert was played in the US somewhere, but I don't remember.

Do you remember any songs, like the opener or closer? Was it a full show?

If it came out in 2001 then there would be no songs from BOP or SFBM on it. Did they play The River or Mystery?

It was neither of the shows shown in the videos. I’ve seen both of those videos on YouTube. As for the songs, beyond a lot of the standard songs I could have sworn there were a couple of the more popular songs from V (and I actually thought at least a song from Birds of Prey as well), although I don’t know that Live has ever played a concert that had songs from both of those albums together. Sorry it was many years ago that it was broadcasted and it was likely on one of the music channels that showed concerts in the decade of 2000-2010 (again I recorded off if Directv which had most of the major Music channels at the time, but Im sure it was also broadcast on cable companies.

Further to my prior comment, I’m aware that BOP wouldn’t have been included in 2001. I just gave a range. It had to be somewhere between when V came out as I’m pretty sure either Like a Soldier and/or Simple Creed was/were in the show. I thought Lighthouse from BOP was also in the concert, but again I’m not aware of any shows where songs from both albums were played. I cannot remember what song opened. I think White, Discussion was last, but who knows if what I saw was edited for TV. I have one scene in my head from a specific point in a few of the choruses of Dolphins Cry which I have just not seen on any version of the song or a concert on YouTube. I also know a few nuances of the way that Ed sang parts of different songs. Other than that it’s just do long ago. Sorry. Not much to go on. I’ve been racking my brain trying to remember more, but I literally haven’t seen that concert on the old DVR receiver in probably 8-10 yrs once I replaced it. Whatever I listed is likely not enough to go on, but I figured I would ask. I appreciate the comments. It was s great filmed concert (both video and audio).

They played Heaven from BOP and Simple Creed from V and Dolphin's Cry on the Paradiso DVD. I'm guessing it's not that, though?

Here's a setlist from 2002 that includes Like I Do, Life Marches On, Like A Soldier, Simple Creed, and Dolphin's Cry.

Maybe somebody here knows of a broadcast/video from this tour?

No it wasn’t Paradiso. It also wasn’t the Lancaster concert, but thank you though. I went to school there. The concert was in a much bigger indoor venue. I really thought Lighthouse was part of the set too. Also Rattlesnake. However again I can’t find a set that includes all of these in one concert. It could have been edited, but I don’t remember it being multiple concerts mashed together. Also Chad Taylor didn’t have the full facial hair like he did in Paradiso. It’s likely a concert I won’t find again or I’m wrong on one or two of the songs. Again though I do have a memory of a few things as I mentioned which is why I can tell when I watch Dolphins Cry on any YouTube video (at least after 2001) it’s not there.

Yeah idk- sorry! There weren't a lot of shows with lighthouse, and they dropped most of the V stuff when they added more BOP stuff, iirc.

The only other thing I can think of is the Vorst National show, where they also shot the second Heaven video, I think. The only song from V is Overcome, but they also played TDC and Lighthouse (according to the setlist, anyway).

Thanks. It’s possible that Lighthouse wasn’t part of the concert (again my memory is a bit shaky after so many years and hearing so many of their songs over and over since the 90s...It’s more likely the songs from V were part of the concert, but not Lighthouse from BOP (and I do think they played Rattlesnake). I know they stopped playing most of the songs from V after that tour so most likely its from that two year tour time period.

I went to a show in Seattle in 2002 or 2003 that was being filmed for VH1. And although Sugar Ray opened up for Live, when it went to air the had Vertical Horizon as their opener.

Anyway, they showed a little bit of the behind the scenes at the beginning of the show, and I remember it showing them riding in a van on the way to the venue and chatting.

Was this the show? I still have it, but its on VHS Tape somewhere in my garage.

I think that was The Experiene Music Project so no that wasn’t it. It’s very possible that I have the broadcast date wrong...the concert was likely filmed in the early 2000s and shown years later from 2010 on as a former concert . I checked archive for Audience Channel/The 101, Fuse, VH1, VH! Classsic Live. Likely I’ll never find it, but i appreciate all of the posts and suggestions. Clearly a few of the songs that I thought were in the concert were not because they just weren’t played all at the same time. I really do think though that songs from V were included.

They've played a lot of shows over the years. People are trying but I think you'll have to be a little more specific with concert details to have a shot at this.
