yep - It's a 2-year hiatus, we all know what that means.

When they got back together, I figured it would last through the 25th Anniversary of Throwing Copper.

Whatever happens next, is more than I expected.

Really? You didn’t think they would release one full album? Your expectations were incredibly low (and probably correct).

From day one since the reunion they talked about how much ideas they had and how creativity was flowwing immediately. We still got four new songs since that moment. More than three years. And now so much time. No way they’ll call it a day before releasing a freaking full album.

I figured a full album not an EP before their tour in 2018.

Yep, pretty much. Tour the world with the Throwing Copper anniversary and call it a day.

For those of you who have FB, how active is Think Loud Studio’s page? I’m interested to know if they are allowing people in to record, and if so, how are they handling social distancing? The studio’s last Tweet was from 2018. I’m curious to know if the studio’s social media is as dead as the band’s, and/or if it’s closed.

Reckon they/Ed might drop an EP or album before 2022, but at the same time if they didn't it wouldn't be surprising. The anniversary editions of SS/TDTH are all I want at this point anyway, tbh.

Sorry, I can't tell, is this a joke or sarcasm?

If not, what is a touring guitarist doing having any input into a 4 piece band's songwriting?

There is no logical answer to anything the band has done since "reuniting". No rhythm or reason to their decisions.

They had interview after interview talking about the creativity when they were back together, yet they have released 4 new songs, half of which were written by a touring guitarist. This is not meant to insult Zak, it's not his fault the band is lazy and/or not inspired, and in every way it is meant to question the commitment to music by the original 4 members. This has been a joke.

That's why they are Loyve, not Live.

It makes me wanna barf up my breakfast. I'm not against studio musicians or touring musicians if they know their role and sound good. The girl who sings on Ghost, The string section on Lakini's juice, these artists don't overtake the band and go for songwriting credit. That would be ridiculous. Same goes for Railo's electronics and piano on V, Chris Thorne, and Adam Kowalczyk. They know how to complement the music, whatever Live's style is at the time.

It's not Loy's fault. Of course he would say yes to piggybacking onto Live. He's just a dude trying to make a name in music. It's all Ed's and CCP's fault for diluting the music. They just wanted to cash in. No production value from Jerry. No songwriting efforts. Let Loy take over the songwriting and guitar playing on stage. Let 2 other drummers take over the drumming. Make the whole festival ridden Throwing Copper cash grab as easy as possible. No Hold Me Up performances necessary.

While Loy doesn’t bother me, I can say I very much agree with your post and understand where you’re coming from. Did you like 717?- I can’t remember. I’m just curious if you’d feel differently about Loy if you like(d) LL, Giver, & Brother. Because maybe that’s why what he’s doing doesn’t bother me (as you say, can’t blame him). At the live shows I don’t even notice he’s there.

You guys already know what bothers me the most, and that’s the lack of commitment from Līve since the reunion; to themselves and the fans. That’s all on ECCP.
