Also found this... the band Night Ranger is doing a drive up concert in Pennsylvania In August. I read through all the Covid precautions and think this is totally doable. I’d be so down for it, if Līve did this. Price isn’t bad either, as it’s four people per car. You can stand outside of your car, too. What do you guys think about this type of concert?

Seems like a reasonable solution to the circumstances.

Also, Night Ranger is still around and is a big enough draw for a concert like this? My 80s head is spinning, lol.

Except for this:

Absolutely NO outside food or drink (per venue policy) will be allowed. No coolers will be allowed. If you have a cooler upon arrival, it will be subject to being checked at the show.

Isn't that true of regular concerts too, though? I don't even think we could even bring bottled water into the venue when I saw Live in Detroit. Maybe I'm wrong though.

lol.gif An underlying point of mine. If Night Ranger can pull this off, Līve can.

You do have a point with this one. Usually most venues don’t allow you to take anything in for various reasons, one being not profiting from their sky high beverage prices. But to keep everyone in the area of their car, I don’t see the venue selling in this situation. So, why no coolers?

You can't bring beverages into DTE.

In the past week Bush has released a new album, had two live online concerts, and has a special event on iHeart radio.

Maroon 5 released a new single, Taylor Swift dropped a suprise new album, Neon Trees did too, Dirty Honey is doing an online concert, Billboard music continues live at home concerts.

Meanwhile Live reunited after an ugly hiatus and came back with a vengeance, releasing 5 songs (one of them a cover) over a year ago. Wish this Live reunion would get off its ass and do something.

Maybe a new double album is being finished right now and will be released out of the blue! It would explain the remarkable silence.

Or, maybe we will just not hear anything for another year.

Unfortunately, the latter. Hope I am wrong.

Also, Ed posted that new music was "coming soon" from a side project on MAY 12!!! Someone needs to explain what coming soon is. That's almost 3 months ago.

Stone Temple Pilots just sent out this tweet,

“We miss all of you dearly and hope all of you are safe and well. Hopefully soon we will all be together under one roof again but in the meantime we are bringing a live performance to you. Join us Friday on @nugsnet for a live performance of Core.”

https://twitter.com/stpband/status/1288633163632304128?s=21

STP are another one of my favorites from the 90’s, and Core is an album of super importance to me. This is awesome, and that tweet shows heartfelt appreciation for the fans.

Līve’s silence during this time is painful, and their inability to think outside of the box is extremely frustrating.

Edit to add: I found a little more info, and the stream is not free. Tickets are $9.99. Don’t mind paying that at all, as bands need support in this time too.

Like most other musicians you can watch Jimmy live. He's been doing streams too.

Maybe Live should take a stab at pissing in live stream. At the most opportune time to have a band named Live they are anything but.

They're a band for hire at this point, and no one is hiring.
