I eliminated Beautiful Invisible right away. Horse by Līve is as country as I can get.

I actually had not listened to Forever in... forever. laugh.gif Almost had to dig out my Paradiso CD, as weirdly, Forever is the only song on the album not available on iTunes. shrug.gif Did find it on YouTube, as I thought I remembered a video (I’m coming back to this video in a sec). In my opinion, it always had nice verses, but was lacking in the chorus. I will say, in listening to it again, if Līve just has to continue with all the ballads in their setlist, I’d rather hear this than Heaven (yeah right, not going to happen though). But I’m eliminating this one, as it’s just “meh.”

Love Lounge gets my vote. It’s in my playlists; I listen to it on the regular. I think it’s cool. Different style that Līve tried with LL, Giver, & Brother, and all are right up my alley.

(Back to the video thing— I’m watching Forever, and it’s decent. What’s funny is, Love Lounge is the better song, but I can’t stand the video. Because of Ed. And his faces. I cringe).

Love Lounge is out because it's such a symbol of Live's slobbering return to heritage act mediocrity.

Forever is out because it's such a symbol of the unsinpired carcass of a band Live 1.0 became.

Beautiful Invisible wins by default, and gets a little love from me for being part of the V era explosion of wacky, often misguided creativity from Ed. But it's still pretty weak and cringey. It's no Horse. Horse is levels above.

It may be a faceplant as far as crossing the comeback finish line, but it does the job and for once Ed's lyrics are kinda different (at least relative to the complete nonsense of Beautiful Invisible, which in my book is not even good enough to be on SFBM, and Forever, which may as well be Ed trying to write for Grace and not even doing that well).

Love Lounge.

I don’t think I have ever heard BI. I kind of like Forever but Love Lounge is on par with it and gets the edge since it’s the first new track we got in years from the originals.

Thanks for sharing that. I don’t hate it but it doesn’t change my vote. If you asked me what album that was recorded around I’d say V because that was definitely unique.

HAHA! Vindicated!

I'm not really that surprised, to be perfectly honest. When you play all 3, Forever is the closest to "old Live" in recent memory. Guess I need to put a giant IMO there.

I have to believe that some people on facebook confused Forever with Forever May Not Be Long Enough.

Forever was the absolute height of Live not getting along or caring about their music.
