You are killing me with your one reference in the reverse order here, Nick. Why did you flip the order of only the fifth one? omg.gif

Also, imagine a setlist that includes all the losing tracks. Sigh.

Because the Dam was the higher seed, so I kept it that way.

It bothers me too lol.

I was going to post the setlist of the show, but I think it's better if you watch it and be surprised. It's only ~45 minutes, but it's all Live songs, so that's nice. It's also shot pretty well IMO, so that's a bonus.

I really liked it. It was much better without the covers and the slow encore.

Were both the seedings and matchups decided at random?

Additionally, how were the 32 songs picked, out of interest? Just a separate poll?

There was a vote on Facebook where you could pick multiplesongs to be in the tournament. The more votes a song got, the higher the seed.

POD won a poll on Fans of Live last year on which song should return to Live’s setlist. The song has a strong cult following.

I’m excited for tomorrow’s match-up. There is a clear favorite, but I think it will be a good fight!
I am really looking forward to it!

That is so interesting to me. I wonder why? Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good song. There’s not one bad song on that album of perfection. But POD iS so LONG. Lightning Crashes will never leave the setlist, so why would anyone want another long ballad when you could have Stage? Or Waitress. Or Top. Those are just possibilities from that album. Who in their right mind would rank POD higher than Hold Me Up as a favorite to return (or appear) in the setlist. Scratching my head.

Anyway, I guess we will all be fighting it out later in the end! aggressive.gif tongue.gif

Man, do I love me some Operation Spirit. That song is what got me into the band, but I think I Alone is the better song. It’s their signature.

I Alone.

I Alone.

I still consider this my favorite song even if I don’t listen to it nearly as much these days.

Operation Spirit. It's one of the first songs I ever heard by them, even before TC and fully realizing who this powerhouse band was, and from a lyrical perspective, it also holds more weight to me. Also, live, I feel OS is the stronger song.

I'm pretty sure I Alone will win this in a landslide, but I'll ride the OS train into history!

Another tough one....

Like SanSao, I don't listen to I alone much anymore. And overtime, Operation spirit kept a bit of airplay. Liked the Shinn's versions alot during his time with the band.

Still have to go for I alone because of its impact at some moments in life, but that's the closest contest somfar.

I think it's because Pillar of Davidson has a very emotive quality to it, and that intense "locking horns with the stallion" vamp at the end is truly spectacular. It's a much, much better song than Lightning Crashes in my book.
