Some more thoughts... For me as a fan, it’s about your passion. I’ve never been a follower of Bush, but I could tell from their performance they have a lot of passion. You will see it evident on stage, media presence, merchandise that is put out, what they say, and how they treat fans. New material will fall right into place if there’s passion. Honestly, when you follow a band for years and years, what would you rather see more of?— The old stuff! My last concert before all this happened was Sammy Hagar and The Circle. They played some new songs, and even Sammy made a joke of, “ I know you guys don’t really want to hear the new stuff, but here it is anyway.” lol.gif Līve has got to find their passion again. I haven’t seen much of it since... the York NYE show. I saw a glimpse in a Rattlesnake performance in Canada, too. If they don’t want to find it again, they need to quit.

Sadly the passion you refer to was there without them being together. CCP on their side and Ed too, judging by his productivity and his social media interactions. And we almost could have guessed it from the NYE show. Not a single deep cut there. They could have, I mean first show together since more than 7 years, and nothing was stellar IMO. And not the first time I say it, but my compass was Pat. And he wasn't playing as he was with Shinn. Go find some PLOTR with Shinn. I was at the TC show in Atlantic City. He was amazing slapping it, he was having a blast.

I have a feeling Chad Gracey was able to make amends, but I'm really not sure for Pat. And you are always as strong as your weakest member, and since the rythm section is a very important part of that band (more than in some others due to lack of guitar skills), well we get what we see. They can still have it, but they need to all chip in.

Loy. I know he bothers some of you, but his collaboration doesn’t bother me. He has good guitar licks. When I see them in concert, I don’t even pay attention and I forget he’s there, honestly. I liked 3 songs off the EP, esp Giver. Ed’s lyrics aren’t what they used to be, but Giver, LL, and Brother were more than average because of Loy’s input. I know we all have different opinions, and I think I liked those 3 songs so much because I grew up on 80’s hard rock and metal, so it was more my taste. shrug.gif Like Bremang, I really liked 10,000 Cups, too.

I agree with you, they gave to let someone else other than Chad T. take the production wheel. Jerry preferably. They also cannot let Ed sneak in his solo stuff (Waterfall). That garbage needs to be kept separate. As I always say, it will never be 1997 again, but Live can for sure still bring it. They all have to want it. They don’t even have to all get along for it to happen, but they have to want it. The vibes I’m getting now worry me it won’t happen. But they are capable.

Great post. Can’t argue with any of that.

Even though I am anti-Shinn, I will not argue with any of this.

I'm trying to find one...there was one I think from Brooklyn or some place close to New York (Gramercy?)

there is one... Pat doesn't play like that when Ed sings. And it was more proeminent at the AC show.  At around 4:10. I think OTD fimed that.

It's not the acoustic one but it shows how he was slapping it.

I remember once seeing a comment that the reunion was more of the Chad's idea than Pat's. It's 100% possible though that Pat has come around since.

It's also weird to me that, while Pat and Chad T live close to each other, we never seem to see them together.

I liked these riffs that Paul Stanley did for his quarantine stream, and I’m not even Kiss crazy.

Anyways, I Meant to ask this the other day. Related to your comments about PJ still putting out some decent songs. Do you guys think Live has one good song left in them?

No chance. 20 years is a long time. Whatever or whoever helped Ed write songs is long gone.

Check out this cover of The Who by Sammy Hagar and the Circle. It is the best quarantine stream yet. Not a live stream, but super cool what can be done and then synched together. Trust me, watch it. You’ll thank me later.

Come on LĪVE, are yuh seriously going to let this time pass without creating something?
I guess they really don’t owe us anything though, huh? sad.gif
